     it’s not often he gets stuck in a MOOD -- it’s been quite some time, he thinks, as mangled fingers twist the drawstring of his hoodie between them. sometimes days are just gloomy for little reason other than that, and on gloomy days he tends to stay in his room while he can and bury his nose in his studies until tomorrow comes and the dark clouds roll over on their own.      iida and uraraka had already made their rounds to check on him, ending with him insisting that he’s fine and they should enjoy their day while they can. it seems now that it’s todoroki’s turn to do the same. luckily, his friends don’t seem to mind the abundance of all might merchandise that sprawls across every inch of his room -- a little OBNOXIOUS, really.      izuku offers a small smile towards his friend but shakes his head, green curls bouncing against his freckled cheeks.

it comes to absolutely no one’s surprise to see eijirou holed up in u.a’s training facility. it was practically a haunt of his, more so even when the students were herded into dorms. he’d go in the mornings prior to homeroom, and in the evenings before curfew struck. routine was good, and eijirou had his down in spades. expelling a breath, he relieves himself of preliminary stretches and ventures towards the weights, eyeing the dumbbells and sparing the bench press a longing glance. he’d usually ask bakugou to spot him, but he was bereft of his training partner in the mornings, and hence was left to his own devices. eijirou was itching to up his limit, but without a spotter to support him, he was hesitant to break his record ( he could always harden himself should he slip up and the weight crash on top of him, but he’d already gotten an earful the last time he broke gym equipment ) as if to answer his prayers, he spies in his peripheral vision a familiar face. hope blooms in his chest when he quickens his gait, hoping to catch his classmate before they left—or start any training of their own. “ midoriya! aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?— ” he greets with a clap on the freckled teen’s back and a wide, toothy grin “ —can ya do me a solid and spot me for a sec? i wanna try breakin’ my bench record, but didn’t wanna do it without an assist. i can spot ya after as payback, yeah? ”

     izuku frequently finds himself within the walls of u.a’s training facility, following a strict agenda set by none other than all might himself. the agenda itself consists of a diet he needs to follow religiously and a meticulous training schedule that should maintain his body’s ability to handle ONE FOR ALL. it’s an obvious wear and tear on him, but so far he’s managed to keep up with the tough schedule -- albeit after having to sacrifice plenty of time that could be spent socializing with his classmates. the time he has left in the day is usually spent studying.      today was a difficult training day, and izuku’s limbs feel like jello as he attempts to leave the building for the day. he drapes a rag over his shoulders and wipes the sweat from the back of his neck. just as he takes a swig of water, he feels the weight of a heavy hand against his back that sends him forward slightly, a step forward to keep himself stable despite his screaming muscles. it takes most of his effort not to spit the contents of his mouth out. with a hard swallow, he turns to face the other, his lips turning upwards at the sight of the RED RIOT.     and despite his crying muscles, he can’t say ‘ no ‘ to a face like that.
