Let's talk about jay

I'm not sure if all of yall know about the current situation with jay so I wanted to talk about it. We all know about how engenes have made memes of jay since I-land and I think some of the fans are taking it too far. I hope everyone knows that jay is not your best friend or someone your close to that you can make fun of. He's an idol, a human and we as fans should support him. Not make fun of him. At first it was him saying that he thinks he's the least handsome in enhypen because fans rarely appreciate him. Then I've also noticed that jay's fancams have the least amount of views compared to the other members. Why? He too is a part of enhypen right? And as engenes we should love each one of them equally. And now he talked about how we only see him as a fool in enhypen. This is so wrong y'all. Jay is such a talented man. He can sing, rap, dance, has amazing looks, a great sense of fashion, a person with alot of knowledge and a kind heart. Stop seeing him as someone in enhypen who serves as the boyfriend material. Nor is he a living meme. Please treat him equally and appreciate his talent. Let's be good fans and treat all of enhypen equally and let's not make fun of jay.

He never talked much in the first place, and now that you were around, he had something else to stare at rather than his own hands. Or perhaps he should slam Jake’s head into the table. The more he admired your existence, the more he didn’t understand what he was supposed to do with the infatuation blooming in his heart.

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

southern europe is burning. 

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

Jaehyun’s invitation to his beach house was a kind one, offering your entire friend group a week-long stay at his- or his parent’s, beach house, a luxurious, large beachfront property that also happened to be 20 hours away, practically across the country.

A two night and almost three day road trip trapped in a small car with four other people was not your ideal way to travel or vacation but as Donghyuck had put it, “flights are expensive and Johnny’s car.. well it’s a car.”

You’re not totally sure how enjoyable the road trip will be but you do think that the final destination of the beach will definitely be worth it.

A week after Jaehyun’s invitation, after agreeing to switch out drivers, mapping out a route, and scoping out motels, you were finally gathered in Johnny’s garage, preparing to make the long drive.

You help load his sedan that fit everyone except Jaehyun- who was already at the beach house, as Donghyuck leans against the trunk and Johnny rustles around in the front seat before rushing back inside to grab something else, coming back out in a few seconds with a large cooler in his arms as you and Donghyuck part to make room.

“Mark is coming,” Donghyuck says casually with a raised brow and a smirk, watching your reaction as Johnny laughs, “She’s already been warned,” he adds with his typical, knowing smile. You control your expression, hating the way they both look at you waiting for your reaction- which doesn’t come. Of course you already knew Mark was coming, you had already prepared yourself accordingly for the added nuisance on the long drive.

“Mark’s fine,” you shrug, “I like Mark.”

Donghyuck scoffs before grabbing his suitcase and shoving it next to the cooler before taking your bag that you hand to him. He turns to you with obvious disbelief. “Ever since I met you, you have very openly not liked Mark.”

You don’t say anything in response, not bothering to argue with something that was true- but it’s not like Mark likes you either. It was a mutual dislike that you personally found completely justified.
