Every once in an awhile I’ll reappear on this website, and I scroll through and see your work and go “THAT’S RIGHT! I FOLLOW YOU! YOU’RE HERE AGAIN! THIS IS WHY I WANNA DO ART!” And then go scribble furiously, and I don’t think my life would be the same without this experience, so thank you 🤚🤚 (also your art is just phenomenally cool 🤚🤚🤚🤚)

Wonder if this helps, this is a simple example on how i shade in most drawings, here are some other examples to show you so

The concept stage is where i experiment, if i like the sketch ill complete it, i make sure to start with base colors i like, i do simple shading with the base so i get an idea of what the final drawing would look like. Then i redraw any parts that are too vague or non detailed if needed, then do the final shading along with lineart.

I use a second layer to add the base colors then i merge them together and draw on the first layer, i use one or two brushes for each piece and i dont use special effects or layers for shading, i like to have control over my colors.
