“Being Woke”
A. What was your expectation to this subject?Explain.
A common knowledge that I know about media literacy is that we will tackle how media gives or falsify information to people. However, some of those knowledge or belief changed as our discussioj to the subject deepens it showed that media is a tool on which people used that leads to overuse of those tools creating harm to others. For this subject I wanted to be open, to be aware on how media works around us the transparent meaning and also the deeper meaning on how people overuse this tools.
B. Message or Suggestion for the Teacher
During our discussion I literally hoped that we tackle those social issues and at the same time give the insights or know the insights of other student. Our teacher didnt failed ti show us how media works and gow it destroys and create people. I’m really thankful that she opened our eyes on the society that we live on and how media manipulates it

Synopsis: This video tells about the story of a hardworking lady named Marie Maguinto and her younger brother. She works at many jobs such as being a waitress at a restaurant or being a barker. She always put make-up on whenever she was with her brother. One day, at an event where she attended, almost all began noticing her, as she was seen working as a waitress, or a barker and many more, but the story told to the people about her is that she is working as an office worker. The people began gossiping about her identity, which turns out that her identity is wrong all along. An interesting story unfolds the reason of her fake identity.

Difference between the capability of then and now in terms of spreadibg information as then, they were limited in and also people can be outdated as news spread slowly because they dont have different kinds of platforms that we have today. As today we can see and know and be updated in news in a matter of seconds.

A meme that can express how news today can be classified. As a filipino I used the expression made in china were in , I’m not generalizing but there are instances where in china made product tend to break easily and we use the word fake. As today we are exposed to social media we tend to forget to know the facts and differentiate it with opinion as fake news as of today spread fast.
