susie is my favorite of the deltarune cast 1000% and one of my favorite characters possibly ever and yet i cant form a single coherent thought on her. i cant even like, think properly about what specifically in her character speaks to me without feeling like a kicked wet puppy. she makes me feel so much and i cant even put it into words for like a coherent analysis or anything

and then she just says shit like this randomly. one of the characters that truly speaks to me like no other and one that ive found so much meaning in. and she just says shit like this for some reason. Why the fuck does she say this. this has been stuck in my head for the past week i just say French fry, (oo), on the freaking ground. randomly and start giggling like a maniac to myself. thank you susie deltarune. thank you toby fox

i know all my real posts have been about persona so far but ive been playing deltarune and i need you guys to know that i hate this creature with my entire soul (kidding i love kris)

Persona 4 Party Member Analysis and Remake Improvements Part 2: Chie

Chie is actually I think one of the more well designed party members overall, and while she has flaws, she's still solid. Fundamentally, I think she's limited by three key factors: Endurance, SP, and Elements.

Endurance

Chie is something of a glass cannon, dealing primarily physical damage, but lacking the defense to offset the HP costs of her physical moves. Boosting her Endurance would fix this issue entirely.

SP

Oh boy. She's a physical party member, so she has low SP, which makes sense in theory. However, she struggles to have enough SP to fully utilize her kit, especially once she unlocks Dragon Hustle and gains the ability to be a supportive powerhouse. The easiest solution here I feel like is just to make the cost of Dragon Hustle lower, since she shouldn't have a ton of SP for balance reasons.

Elements

Her element spread isn't bad, but her magic stat is pitiful and she doesn't even get Bufudyne without the Bike, which is insane, since she's a party member who quite literally can't do anything if an enemy or boss resists/nulls/reflects Phys. Atlus, please give her Bufudyne as part of her normal skills. Also, if she could get some kind of AOE buffing or debuffing skill besides Rebellion/Revolution before Dragon Hustle that would also help her be less of a selfish attacker with more utility if she can't do damage.

Anyway, Chie doesn't need a lot of fixing, just a couple things here or there would pretty much make her serve the purpose she needs to. She already has Mind charge, high crit rates, and a follow up move that instakills non-boss enemies. She just needs something to keep her out of trouble should her Physical damage not do the job. In an ideal world, there would be more than one physical damage type, but I have no idea if that's even a possibility for P4R since we've barely seen any gameplay. Unlike Yosuke, most of the other party members are pretty good in some way that makes them worth using. Chie is already solid, she could just use a couple things to make her more well-rounded and less reliant on purely a single form of damage.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that on tumblr fandom used to be practiced very differently. now everyone fucks off to their discords or tumblr groups to discuss everything with a select few, making tags be nearly only used for posting some finished fanworks or not at all

a decade ago people didn't have tumblr groups. people didn't even have dms. if you wanted to talk to anyone about anything you had to make a post, or send an ask (which more often than not would get published and thereby become a post in the end too)

so next time you think "I have a fandom thought but I have to find a small group of hyperspecifically like-minded people to share it with in private" remember all the freaks you could be missing out on meeting by keeping the tags dead. use tags, make friends. fuck discord.
