What is this new trend of stealing traditional Desi cultural food, clothes, ornaments, etc., and rebranding it as if they invented it? It's just disgusting.

Hate the narrative of Krishna not loving Rukmini
(Nothing irks me more than this) The fanatics really be saying nonsense about them and I have this urge to actually slap them through the screen. 😮💨
Never said they can't worship who they want but everytime we talk about Rukmini's the other side act like mad dwags.
Free her from them actually! They will swear by she's not the supreme Mahalaxmi and will talk about her day and night under her posts. Goes the same for his other wives. They are so disrespectful and for what?
The reels on her and the never ending debate of that she didn't love him enough and vice versa. Tf ?! Heard a dhongi baba say "Krishna's all marriages were reel amd not real expect for -😮💨" Make it make sense?!! They swear by they are devotees while constantly bringing him and his actions down too so that everything fits their narrative. Serials have runied it all goodness!! Because that's their reliable source of information and not actual scriptures.

𝐒𝐀𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐘𝐀
— Krishna x Rukmini

SYNOPSIS : Krishna has yet to meet his Sri but that doesn't mean that he does not know her heart.
KAMAL'S NOTE : Hey guys, I'm back with another RukminiShyam fic. This is a really short one.
Sakhi = Friend, Kaki = Aunty, Priye = Beloved, Sri = Mahalakshmi/Rukmini, Saawariya = Krishna/Tall, Dark & Handsome, Jaganath = Vishnu, Jagatmata = Lakshmi.
𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 // 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄
"Why do you look so downhearted, sakhi?"
Malini asked when she noticed the princess sitting on the window seat with a frowning face. Rukmini casted her a side glance before looking outside again, showing her friend that she had done something which upsetted the princess.
Malini thought back about the past events but she could not think about anything bad enough to upset Rukmini. Rukmini was not someone who would care about small mistakes.
Malini dropped the cloth she was folding and rushed up to Rukmini, "Sakhi, did I do something wrong?"
Rukmini nodded her head in 'yes'. Her lips curled up in visible a pout.
"What is it?"
Rukmini turned to Malini, "It rained this afternoon, right?" Malini nodded her head hasitentaly, she could already guess where this was going, "But none of you called me? Mina kaki told me, she saw you, Vijaya, Ridhima playing in the rain. Without me."
Rukmini snapped her face towards the window again. To be honest, Malini did feel a little bad for her sakhi. She knows just how much Rukmini loved rain.
Malini grabbed Rukmini's hand, "Please, don't be mad Vidharbhi. You were sleeping at that time and we didn't want to disturb you. You looked too peaceful sleeping."
"Stop buttering me." Rukmini muttered under her breath, "You are not the makhan chor."
"Ohhoo." Malini teased Rukmini, "Then why don't you tell you makhan chor to make it rain again?"
"D-Don't speak nonsense." Heat rushed up Rukmini's neck and cheek, colouring her red.
If I ask them he will, right?
Time passed in a flash and it was already night. Malini had left after making sure Rukmini was not mad at her. Of course she wasn't mad, Rukmini can never be angry with her sakhis.
Stars surrounded the moon in the sky. The kingdom of Vidarbha was lightened with lamps and lanterns. In the royal palace, Rukmini sat on the bed, reading a chapter of a novel before going to sleep as per her daily routine.
Suddenly, a sweet flute music started playing. The candle flickered on the nightstand when a gush of cold wind blew past the blinds, followed by the roaring sound of thunder. The thought of raining again made her lips curl up in a smile. Madhav!
Closing the book, Rukmini dropped it on the bed and rushed up to the window, pulling back the red and golden curtains. The one sparkling was now covered in kala megha. In no time, one raindrop hit the ground, then another and then another till it started pouring and wetting everything.
Rukmini grabbed the fabric of her skirt, lifted it up, and ran out of the room. Her feet stopped when it reached the garden. Standing in the middle of the garden closed her eyes and tilted her back. She raised her hand, palms facing the sky.
Rukmini felt the cold drops hitting her golden smooth skin. She felt his love pour on her in the form of rain. In an instant her long black hair soaking all the rain. They stick to her skin like glue. A sudden burst of joy hit her heart.
The surroundings disappeared. Only the sound of rain mingling with the sweet flute and the thought of her beloved. Her body moved on its own, spinning in circles. Soft laughs escaping her heart. The long skirt and her now wet hair whirling with her. The chiming of anklets joining the moment.
Rukmini danced without any care for the world. Between the colourful flowers Rukmini bloomed like a lotus does between dirt. Spinning, Rukmini bumped into something hard. She instantly grabbed it to steady herself. As she was about to open her eyes a hand palmed her eyes and another one wrapped around her waist.
"Mm-mm. It's not the time yet, priye." He teased her.
Rukmini huffed and shook her head, "Even now you are teasing me, Madhav."
"Just wait a little more? The day is near." Madhav said with a plea hidden in his voice.
"For you, Saawariya." She replied softly.
Krishna released Rukmini before grabbing her hand in his, He started twirling her, "So, is my beloved still sad that she couldn't dance in the rain earlier?"
Rukmini laughed, following his lead, "How can I be sad when you are here?"
The garden filled with laughter of two eternal consorts. The nature, the rain and the life witnessed their Jagannath and Jaganmata relish the moment. They witnessed Krishna doing maya leela for his Sri. They witnessed Lakshmi with her Narayan. They witnessed Rukmini putting all her trust in him and going along wherever he takes her.
Time flew by in a blink of an eye and it was close to dawn. But neither of them wanted to stop. Rukmini wanted to be with him as much as possible and Krishna wanted that just as much but that was not possible and they both knew that.
"Rajkumari Rukmini!" A panicked servant called and Rukmini's hand slipped off from Krishna's. Rain gradually came to a stop.
The smile never left her face as servants crowded her, throwing a warm and dry cloth over her shoulder. They started dragging her into the palace before she caught a cold.
Rukmini looked back where Krishna was supposed to but was now empty. Then Rukmini looked in her hand, the peacock feather he left behind. Only one man dazing in her head.
Saawariya.
Madhav.
Murli.
Krishna.
Krishna.
"KANHA!" Balram shouted, snapping his brother's attention, "What are you doing here at this time?"
Balram went out for a walk because his sleep broke early only to find his brother sitting on a stone, playing flute without any break and when he called him, Krishna didn't even hear him.
"Ji, Dau?" Krishna jumped down from the stone.
"What are you doing here?"
"Prem, Dau. Prem. Aap nehi samjhenge." Krishna gave him a mischievous smile before marching towards the castle.

Hello,I have been following your blogs lately and it's very insightful ! Your version of MB and Krishna is so much more believable. Don't get me wrong, I grew up in a Bengali household where all these stories were narrated to me since my childhood days. Those days it seemed more of a fantasy story which fun to indulge in. Today the perspectives have changed because I would like to believe it was not a made up event and that it actually has some historical backing. You often talk about Dr. Bhaduri, do you mind sharing your sources of their work perhaps?
Also these days I have been super occupied with the thought of Radha and Krishna and why are they particularly worshiped so much across the north? I mean aside from the divine part when we talk about human Radha and Krishna how do you visualise them? Not to sound rude or ignorant but I feel they were/ are heavily romanticized. I do believe they were very fond of one another and perhaps lovers too but given the timeline of when Krishna leaves Vrindavan it's a little difficult to grasp that the kids were so much in love romantically.
I personally think they were in love but just not romantically and when I say that I don't mean to insult their bond. I believe there are various forms of love but they are rarely talked about. Love is so subjective and to me the greatest form of love is when it's in the very form of platonic, romantic and devotional. (Again not imposing my beliefs but it rather makes me question people)
Now my question is, Did they meet later in their lives after Dwarka was built or before that? I ask this because a lot of people around me say they met secretly and got married at some point (I heavily disagree on that as we don't have any source to back that statement and that they have just watched daily soaps ) I read somewhere that they emerged as a pair (for worshiping) during the Bhakti Movement in the subcontinent.
What do you think actually happened to her ? And the constant comparison content I keep seeing in the other social media platforms about her and Rukmini. Lmao (Unsettling) People also say she was the only one who met Radha out of all his other wives.
Actually I would like to know more about their relationship from your perspective.
Hey, thank you! <3 Dr. Bhaduri is Dr. Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri, you can find his books here, here, here, here (although I recommend college street rather than Amazon, it'll be way cheaper and better overall), and his YT channel.
So, in my mind, since most of the early legends come from Bengal side, Radha and Aayaana are most probably a case of child marriage not working out. Now, even if they do not have an option to divorce safely, they are determined to make the best of it. Here, Radha meets the slightly younger Krishna (just because she's his aunt-by-marriage, doesn't guarantee they're aren't nearly the same age).
Radha is the face of a revolution of sorts, against a very puritan society, which would rather have kids be dropped off by storks rather than having a husband see his wife's face. She has a certain s*x appeal no one can't deny it, in all the stories, it is always the main undercurrent, but she is not going to apologise for it! Now, I don't want to get into much detail here for obvious reasons, but the concepts of vaama-nayika, parakiya, vipareeta-rati, sahajiya, love-as-consumption-of-the-beloved etc. may be worth looking up. I wrote a bit about Radha's origin and Krishna's Vraja in these posts: here and here.
Obviously, I do not possess a time machine, so I can't vouch that this is the case 100% and I myself skip over adults scenes even at 25, so clearly, not an expert on this matter either...but this is the general thread preserved in most of the texts. The story that is usually presented to kids (as it should be, but adults should grow up) is heavily sanitised, specially since after iskcon became a thing. But then even Geeta-Govindam was banned in its time.
The marriage story if I'm not wrong comes either from Garga samhita or Brahma-vaivarta. Either way, it's a later addition to 'legitimize' their relationship since most people did not want to accept the 'affair' part. Radha did gain popularity during the Bhakti movement, especially after Geeta Govindam became this secret sensation around your 12-13th century.
Most of Radha's friends and family are collated into one cohesive narrative by the Vrindavan Goswamis, and most of the Radha-Krishna stories come from Surdas etc. or the Bauls in Bengal. SriChaitanya in the 16th century obviously was a game-changer, bringing Radha-Krishna as a one-body-two-souls from the previous two-bodies-one-soul, all while shaking both the Brahmanical and Abrahamic religions of the time to their very core.
A lot of things make sense about Radha only if we remember that her origin and perseverance are both a form of protest, against sexism, casteism all of it. Now no one likes it, but Radha is ultimately the narrative antithesis to Rukmini (Satyabhama is somewhere in the middle of that scale). Rukmini is quiet, legitimate, pious, silent, Radha is the exact opposite of that. Moreover, she's inconvenient. The only thing that brings them together, in one line, is their love for Krishna, and yes, it is counter-productive to compare them, they have very different purposes to fulfill each. Some people who love drama have written very saas-bahu coded stories for them, usually ending with Rukmini being humiliated, but they are written in bad faith in my opinion.
As for them meeting, Radha comes to Kurukshetra in some texts and they meet there once (along with Nanda-Yashoda everyone). Most texts don't bother with it, since what's the point disturbing the sanctity of both of their sacrifices, right? Why make all that so trivial by removing the thread of poignancy?
One book Prabhasa Khanda [1973-ish?] says that Radha gave birth to twins, the father was Krishna, and no one found out till Yudhishthira did his ashvamedha, and the kiddos shot down the 4 Pandavas Ramayan-style. There Krishna and Radha met by each sitting on opposite sides of a wall.
In general, as the legend goes, Radha nearly went mad, and left her marital house, aimless walking in the forest. Aayaana came out as Aayaani and left her house as well, becoming a yogini. For the rest of their lives Radha and Aayaani lived in a hut by Yamuna, both by this time equally in love with Krishna [there's one story by Rajshekhor Basu, but I can't remember the name of it for God's sake, where Shikhandi exchanges his gender with Aayani].
In my personal opinion, Radha lived out the rest of her life in Vrindavan, as Krishna did in Dwarika.

Could you give me the sources where I can kearn more about Dwarka and Krishna in Dwarka. I feel I don't know them enough and it's bothersome. Lol
And what's your thought on the Oligarchy system? How was it established ? His role as a profound political figure in the cousil (and other Yadavs) there's so much for me to discover
Sure! ❤️ The two primary texts on Krishna's life are Harivamsha and Bhagavata Purana. Apart from these, the stories are on-and-off repeated in many other puranas, but these are the primary sources, apart from obviously whatever you'll see in Mahabharata. Once you've read these three, you can go on to WisdomLib to find how each character is represented in other Puranas.
Their oligarchy system started after the time of King Satvata. He was the last great Yadava emperor, after a long history of a Yadava-Haihaya coalition that was dwindling as the Kuru-Panchala sector became more powerful by the day.
Satvata's sons were Bhajina, Bhajamaana, Divya, Andhaka, Devaavriddha, Mahaabhoja, and Vrishni. From their generation on, the descendants of these sons eventually organize into 18 distinct families (in Krishna's time) who ruled over a large geographical area ranging from the modern-day Delhi-Meerut area to parts of UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, MP and Maharashtra.
Over time, different families join and break out of the coalition, but, aside from Kamsa's stint, for most of that time the Yadavas rule with the same constitution and court system, while each family have some extra control of their home province. For eg. the west Mathura region was controlled by Vasudeva, Akroora ruled closer to Saurashtra, Ugrasena in Mathura-proper etc.
Fun fact, Krishna had a special parliament building, similar to the Roman senate, built in Dwarika, which was named Sudharma.

I have been drawn to Shiva since ages now and recently a few months ago I had a dream about me getting married to him and goodness it was blissful. (I usually have nightmares about weddings). I grew up in a Hindu household hearing the stories, the lores! I also went through a phase of me not believing in god but things have changed for good now and somewhere I read "One cannot get to shiv before getting to know the one who resides in his heart - Narayan"
So here I am who's obsessed with Shiva and Avatar of Narayan in the form of Love itself. (krishna). Whatever this is- it's so beautiful!
