Life in Bloom

My final project was focused on the moments that surround my life. Throughout my life I've been huge on capturing the moment that surround me with the people I love. I constructed a small video of clips filled with those who made Philly my home. My goal was to showcase that love surrounds us throughout the various seasons of life and when it blooms, it can be radiant.

Play Script

Lauren enters the kitchen as Anastasia is prepping her dinner for the night

*sounds of sizzle as Anastasia sears her chicken on the stove*

(Lauren immediately goes to the fridge to grab a beer and turns on the speaker in her path)

*Mumbo #5 slowly fills the room at a quiet volume*

(The pair look at each other simulatenously)

Anastasia: "Do you like dancing?"

Lauren: "No"

Anastasia: "Oh -- ok."

*the silence is broken as the volume of Mumbo No.5 increases and sizzling chicken fills the room*

Lauren: "Do you want to dance?"

Anastasia: "-Really."

Lauren: "Don't make me regret asking."

(Lauren instantly puts down her beer and grabs their dog Nala to join in the dance party)

*As the music fades away the dance party is interrupted by the blaring fire alarm and the familiar scent of burnt chicken*

"oh -- ok."

"do you want to dance?"

"-really."

Creative Act 9 - the object is the cards I've placed behind my parents photo in a frame on my wall. They once held meaning in just card form, but now piece together as a display.

Philly's eyes

This spandrel acts as the arch of Phillys city hall which allows one to be on the inside looking out. This to me represented eyes in the sense of being a 'window to the soul' of Philadelphia.
