I’d say blogging is fun. At least for me, it is since I chose to blog about a topic I love. I feel like I’d enjoy blogging if I didn’t have to do it as an assignment and did it on my own time with whatever content I wanted to post. I feel like I’d be able to unlock new levels of creativity I could possibly have if I were able to do whatever and post however I wanted to. Perhaps I might get back into blogging, but just not for now. I’ll keep my blog here and come back to check on it every now and then perhaps update sometimes, I just know for sure I would not be attached to this blog. If anything, I might just make another blog that expands what I already have on the current one, by that I mean that I’ll talk about more of my favorite groups and hobbies. Blogging isn’t for everyone, I won’t lie. I had enjoyed some of the assignments we got but sometimes I didn’t want to do them because I’d have to think about what I’ll put in my work in order to meet the requirements which is such a hassle </3. I might as well look forward to future blogs I guess lol.

When I think of an important person, a lot of people come to mind. Park Jinyoung, founder of JYP Entertainment, is who I'll talk about though. First of all, I hate him so much. He overworks his artists and is selfish, sexist, and overall, a bad person. However, if it wasn't for him and his survival show, and his leniency to letting all 9 Twice members debut, Twice wouldn't be complete. He plays an important role in Twice because he knows how music business works and how the girls can gain more attention from new horizons. Although there are so many more bad stuff about him than there are good ones, I'm only thankful because he allows the girls some kind of freedom unlike his other artists. DAY6 recently came out with a new album and they aren't going to promote it for some reason which is so bad. I think fans of Itzy, Twice, Stray Kids, and DAY6 agree with me, right?

On April 28th, Twice made their U.S TV debut on the Kelly Clarkson Show with their song, “Cry For Me’. To me, this is so exciting because they have more exposure in the western music industry, meaning that they could gain new fans. I’m also quite unhappy with it because, more fans= higher prices for merchandise and less chances of buying future concert tickets once the pandemic ends and concerts are allowed again. Although, I am extremely happy with how far they’ve come as a team, achieving goals and setting new records, and sticking together through thick and thin. I like to see their friendship as a bond between sisters and a bond that is so strong, it’ll last forever. I see them as role models, as well. Even though they are super known around the world, they still remain loyal to family, friendship, and remain kind-hearted people. I’ve been a fan since early 2018 after coming across a music video of theirs and falling in love with their music, visuals, and dance almost right away. I love that they continue to spread positivity and love to everyone no matter how far their fans are from them. They will be making a comeback on June 9th with an album titled, “Taste Of Love”. I’m for sure looking forward to it and I hope you are as well!

A word from this week’s guest: Larry Cruz
Hey everyone, it’s Larry. I personally don’t have that much knowledge on Twice, but I do enough to write about it to some extent. I first got introduced to Kpop around eighth grade when I stumbled upon the music video for BTS’ Dope. For quite a while, I was in love with the music that they produced and looked into other Korean music groups. Momoland was one of those groups due to their growing popularity and especially because they visited Saipan to film for one of their music videos. There is a difference between Western and Korean pop songs and I really like Kpops' take on this style of music. Twice was another group that produced upbeat songs that felt different from most pop songs. There was one point in time where I played their song “Yes or Yes” on repeat for a few days straight. They recently came out with a new song called “I Can’t Stop Me,” and I already love the upbeat feeling it has. The choreography looks too complicated for me to even try and learn but I can admire it instead. I do hope that Twice comes out with new music that I can listen to.

“How do they do that?” “Wow, hours of practicing nonstop?” These are questions I always ask myself a lot. I genuinely don’t know how they do it. If you think about it though, years of training, for some people, almost their whole life had been spent on training. Extreme exercising and diets led them to where they are now. Come to think of it, perhaps the reason I gained an interest in k-pop might be because of Twice. As I got to know them more, I was left speechless because of all their challenges, even trying to sign with an agency alone. Since JYP Entertainment isn’t the best company in terms of artist management, I have so much respect for Twice and all the other artists.

Me: Pfft. Of course not, but THAT MEMBER IS SO PRETTY. They also have a song called TT and it's so vibey and cute, you should listen to it sometime.
