Regarding being open about finding fat people hot. How does one navigate doing that without being fetishising? I find when I try to express I find fat people hot, it ends up sounding creepy.

ok see here's the thing. if you're afraid that finding fat people hot feels fetishizing, you have to think about *why* it feels fetishizing. Why is it fetishistic to enjoy the bodies of fat people, but it doesn't feel the same to enjoy the bodies of thin people?

The second thing is to realize fetishes aren't bad or evil either. Maybe you do have fat related kinks like weight gain or feedism or whatever. That's also fine! There's nothing malicious about it, and there's nothing inherently predatory or harmful about your sexuality if everybody involved is a consenting adult and is clear about what they're consenting to.

Basically, if people are being openly horny about thin people then you can be openly horny about fat people.
