Finally drew up some nice clean references of my coyote and wolf facial markings :] very pleased with these! Now that I have such clear references, I really want to finally make myself some masks 💭

I feel especially happy with how I captured my wolf pelt, definitely one of the most accurate self portraits I've done.

I know very well from several years of experience that it's extremely easy to spiral into a depressive loop. Dooming and catastrophizing are very easy things to fall into, but those thought spirals usually don't end up helping anything, they just force you to be miserable until you can pull yourself out and start thinking about something else.

If you often worry instinctively and reflexively, it can be very hard to unlearn this type of thought pattern. But it's absolutely possible to reduce these kinds of thoughts, and I think that's something worth working towards

1 of the things i rlly want, if i ever have kids, is sit down with them with some wannabe wine thats actually grape juice in wine glasses and interview them. ask them how it feels growing up. ask them how something in their day made them feel. how they worked through it in the moment. what little mundane thing resonated with them throughout their day. what do they like about their new fave song (is it the lyrics? what do they mean? is it the bass? the thrum? what?). like being a parent and actually wanting to converse with your kid sounds incredible and fun. deep convos and interviews with my children just sound so fascinating.

I am nursing a hangover because my neighbors invited me over for a dinner last night that was actually a high school graduation party for their eldest daughter but what it actually actually was was 16 Hindu families getting drunk and having a dance party in the basement teaching me, the Lone Jew, how to do Indian dances and getting me Quite Drunk while the kids watched YouTube upstairs

A raku fired wolf sculpture! One of only a couple sculptures in this update that isn’t wall mounted. The geometric patterns were painted on with underglaze and then the piece was covered in a clear crackle glaze.

i dont want to divulge too many personal details, but this past year has been…incredibly rough for me and my family. i’m currently living in a family member’s single bedroom with my pets and partner, and we desperately need to move on to a better living situation for all of our sakes - we cannot afford the cost of living here for the essentials. additionally, my HRT medication has gone up to $700/monthly in my state - meaning i cannot afford to stay on it, and i feel terrible abruptly going off of it after almost a decade of use.

I really need funds so I can get back to living my life with the essentials & medication I need.
