I Don’t Know What to Do | Fujiwara | Chapter 3: OPEN
Fujiwara was in the library, thumbing through an old romance novel and smiling to herself. Oh, how she missed these old love stories. Old tales like these were what had drawn her into love in the first place. She missed love; there seemed to be very little going on within the castle walls. Or, perhaps, she had just not been paying attention. Ridiculous. It was her job to be in other people’s business.
Someone had joined her in the library it seemed. The silence of the room made it nearly impossible to not notice the noises of another human being’s movement. She looked up from her book and smiled.
“Hello, darling,” she greeted. “This place has become so boring, but at least I have these old love stories. How I love love. I think what this castle needs is a good, old-fashioned love story, wouldn’t you agree?”

Fujiwara nodded, appreciating the fine artistry put into it. It certainly added ambiance and luxury to the room already dripping with wealth.
“It almost looks real, does it not?” she chuckled. “This place feels so strange to me, like we’re teetering in between fiction and reality. I enjoy this place oddly enough. It feels classically romantic, as if it’s simply waiting for people to fall in love.”
She turned to Folke and gave a gentle curtsy. “I don’t believe we’ve been formally introduced, have we? The name is Aimi Fujiwara; it’s a pleasure to officially make your acquaintance.”
I Thought I Heard Your Name | Folke | Chapter Two
Fujiwara was in the throne room again, observing the etchings on the walls. She looked at the light streaming through the window and smiled. The opulence of the room was comforting, homey.
She had been studying the names and faces of the people in her class, basing them off of trial and the information she had. Upon observing the marvelous piece of stained glass.
Who was the stained glass artist? Folke? She pondered briefly about whether or not he had taken the time to appreciate it. Surely he would enjoy such a thing, correct?

Oh gosh, a bow. Um…. uhh…
Emiko quickly curtsies in response. That’s what you’re supposed to do, right? She seems a bit unsure, but follows through anyway.
“Um, that’s alright! You seemed to be deep in thought, so I was just a bit surprised. Y-yes! Emiko. F-…. Fujiwara-san, I believe…?”
Hopefully she hadn’t just called her by the name of someone else in here. Nahh her memory is better than that……. probably.
She glances at the teacup, then back to Aimi’s cup.. What kind? Um… hmm, she doesn’t have too much of a preference. Then again, she doesn’t exactly have a vast palette when it comes to tea. Aimi looks like she might know a lot about tea!
“Hmm… Perhaps… whatever tea you may be drinking? You looked like you were enjoying it.”
The rather noble-looking girl nodded in response and began to pour out the hot water from the kettle into the cup.
“Ah. That is quite a relief; in all my years of being a debutante, committing such a social blunder would devastate me. I’m glad to not have made a mistake.”
She grabbed a tea bag and began to put the loose leaves into it, and then dropped it in the water.
“You would be correct as well. I am Fujiwara; Aimi Fujiwara to be specific. As the Super High School Level Matchmaker, I am a little disappointed by the lack of love in this place. With a setting as romantic as a castle, charged by the thrill of danger and risk, I would figure I would be able to see more sparks fly. But, I suppose not...”
She then reached for the sugar bowl, before pausing.
“How do you take it? I usually put an absurd amount of cream in it with a slightly less, but still excessive, amount of sugar. But most people have tastes that differ from my own.”

"I do apologize for startling you," she responded to her shock and bowed her head with grace, her rosy, golden curls spilling over her shoulders as she did.
"Miss… Emiko, correct?" Fujiwara looked up awaiting her reaction. "Forgive me if I'm mistaken; my facial recognition with strangers and acquaintances isn't as sharp as I would like it to be."
She grabbed another teacup and set it on the counter. "What kind of tea would you enjoy? Also would you like cream and sugar in it?"
Something You Couldn’t See | Fujiwara | Chapter Two: OPEN
Fujiwara wasn’t okay. None of this was necessarily what one would describe as okay. In what felt like the blink of an eye, three of her classmates were dead. Just like that. And that name, that Ayato Shiraki, rang some weird sort of bell and caused fear within her heart. The glitching out was horrifying; what had happened to him was horrifying. The fact that it was so easy to lie about who you were and disguise yourself as someone you weren’t was horrifying. She wondered: who else was under a disguise?
She sat solemnly with a cup of milk tea, stirring beyond necessity, watching it swirl: her own little Charybdis. She cracked a small smile. Odysseus was clever, too, and he was led home by the power of his love for his wife and family. What a stellar story.
She looked up upon realizing another person was in the kitchen. She stopped stirring. “Would you like a cup of tea? I believe there is still some hot water in the kettle. I’m not very used to making it myself, as I’ve usually had servants to do it for me, but I’ve gotten a bit better at it if I do say so myself.”

Torch Song | Ch 1 Body Reaction | Open
Fujiwara looked dejectedly at the bodies in front of her. It was... unfortunate, to say the least. It had happened so suddenly, no provocation of any kind. In such a brutal way, as well... there were a million thoughts buzzing through her busy brain, and all she did was sigh.
“I hoped we would be stronger than this... I thought that we would be able to pull together... I guess our love for each other isn’t strong enough yet.”
She seemed very upset by her own revelations, and sulked by herself in the kitchen as she prepared herself a cup of tea.

“Hummmm, yeah, ‘absurd’ sounds right…”
The ensuing questions seemed a little too philosophical for her, but Yuki approached regardless. What a pretty dress. It must have been expensive…
“Hello. Humm… We haven’t met yet, have we…? I’m Yuki Kurokame… SHSL Bento Arranger.”
Fujiwara tended to be the kind of person to overthink and philosophize. That was what rich people did in their excess of spare time, right? Sat and thought?
“Regardless, I do not think we need worry ourselves too much over these matters...”
“My name is Aimi Fujiwara, daughter of the highly renowned and respected Fujiwara Atsushi and heir to the fortune of the Fujiwara clan. Currently I hold the title of Super High School Level Matchmaker. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance.”
Her introduction sounded like it was rehearsed and repeated hundreds of time, including the small curtsy she gave afterwards.

Before the Day Begins| Fujiwara| Chapter One: OPEN
The beauty of the castle was something that Fujiwara had found to be impressive; the graphics of video simulations had improved quite a bit over the years, hadn’t they? In fact, the matchmaker was perfectly content exploring without any gameplay at all. It was satisfactory enough to get a sense of the beauty of the place and how delicately the universe around them was constructed.
She was in a place that wasn’t real and she knew it. The gold that gilded the throne was nothing more than numbers and strings of code; was she herself just code as well?
Fujiwara tried to rationalize it to herself when she received the news of the Game of Mutual Killing. It wasn’t real; none of this was. The bear himself was just a program, a string of letters and numbers.
“It actually expects us to turn against our fellow players? I’ve found the entire thing absurd since he announced it. Are we meant to follow the directions of a computer program over human thought and emotion?”
She let out a sigh.
“The heart and soul will always win out over technology in the end anyhow. You needn’t worry about this killing game at all.”
In part, she was telling this to herself as well. She wanted so desperately to believe it.

How You Greeted Me | Fujiwara | Prologue: OPEN
This place was rather beautiful, she had to admit; it was a little disappointing that none of it was real, though the simulation felt outstandingly realistic. She could have forgotten it was a virtual reality. There was something wholly special about the ornateness of a castle, though the western education she received in her private schoolings had perhaps conditioned the girl to adopt a preference for the art of European architecture.
She decided to walk around and explore what was unlocked in the castle, growing more and more impressed with its contents. It was, after all, a lovely place. It oozed opulence from its pores. If buildings had pores, that is.
When she stumbled upon the throne room, her eyes widened in delight. She had to do it. She had to sit on the throne. Its luxury was calling to her. She ascended the steps of the dais and took a seat, folding her legs delicately.
She hadn’t realized that she wasn’t alone.
“Well, hello. I hadn’t seen you there; you simply slipped my mind among more significant matters. Though, I suppose it is imperative that we acquaint ourselves with our fellow players, isn’t it?”
She did not step down from the throne as she spoke, but instead addressed the other in the room in the way a monarch would address a subject.
“You must forgive me. My name is Aimi Fujiwara, the Super High School Level Matchmaker. And you are?”
Delicately, she extended a gloved hand.
