Amara smiled at his words. “The stronger I grow, the weaker she becomes. Do this for me and she will be helpless.”

“Your sister has grown week,” the hound said as he watched the woman before him. “I see no reason to fear her. You can barely feel her presence in these lands.”

Amara hesitated as she listened to Metatron. He wanted to believe his own words but she could taste the deception in them. “No. Kansas. They’re mother --” She knew where the boys’ hearts laid and angrily flicked her wrist to fling the angel against the wall. “Your next lie will be your last breath.” 

He felt control come back with a relieved sigh. “They’re in Illinois. That’s where their base is. Outside of Springfield. I can’t get in by myself though, it’s well warded.” It was risky, lying to her. But it would buy time if she believed him and he’d gotten good at lying.

Amara looked away. She didn’t enjoy seeing Dean in pain. He wasn’t the only one with reservations about causing harm between them. She seemed to have the same weakness when it came to killing him as he did with her. She could hear his pain and wondered if her brother felt it like she wanted him to. “Well, let me assure you -- he is real and he is listening.” 

Dean fell heavily to him knees, doubling over in pain as he coughed up blood on to the ground, the man making little wheezing noises as he tried to breathe, despite his broken rib. “I’ve never been a believer. My mom said I should, but I just…didn’t. Nothing personal.”

The darkness herself, Billie was honestly confused, not that she’d let it show. So she tilts her head, she couldn’t figure out what Amara could possibly want from her. The reaper remained silent, watching the goddess before her for a long moment. “Well… This is a surprise…”
