Situation for your pondering: for once, it was Janus who went to jail and Remus has to bail him out.

BAIL out? remus?? dont make me laugh!

firstly he would go to "check up" on janus, but its mostly just teasing him, laughing at him.

"you know this is kind of MY spot right?"

"i never started impersonating other sides or 6 all your wine, janus. you should have told me that we were stealing each others thing!"

"remus i am begging... shut up and bail me out!"

but remus knows a better way (for him and him only)

he tried to convince logan to help, but he wouldn't budge

"i think this 'plan' is idiotic and will eventually send you both to prison"

then he tried roman

"what? deceit's in jail?! and im only hearing this now?! where's my camera?!"

remus watched roman rush out the door with a big smile and a camera in hand.

he was about to go to virgil but roman probably tipped him off about the once in a lifetime situation and moments later virgil was also out the door, chasing after roman

"hey wait up! this camera is higher quality!"

and finally, he had to try patton

"well... you know its wrong, you should not be doing that."

"but patton! family must stay together, shouldn't it?"

and so he coerced patton to help. he knows that jail cell in and out, when the officers come in or change shifts, when and what they eat and anything else schedule related. he starts making plans and puts down timestamps when what is happening. patton just encourages him (at least its not harmful). remus makes them spy costumes, tiny gadgets and finally, when they are done, they stand in their living room, remus with a serious face and patton with a surprised one

"remus i never realized how good at creating you are, good job!"

"no need for the flattery patt! let's move, we are breaking janus out!"

"you guys are doing what..?"

both of them screech in horror of what is before them- janus!

"wha- jan... b-but! what?"

"logan bailed me out. ive been back for two days? whatever, thanks for telling everyone remus"

a pair of giggles coming from virgil and roman is heard in the room. they both have a respective camera in their hands and are staring at them

"yeah we took some pictures for the memories, you know?"

"logan can we pleasee hang this one above the fireplace?"

remus and patton just stand there in a daze for a bit. remus shruggs it off and smirks at janus, taking afew steps towards him

"well, then welcome back! if you ever get caught like that again, i already have a much better plan that just a plain bail out"

im gonna hold you to your specific scenarios request and double it: an oddly specific scenario:

A Royal AU in which Thomas is a king, and the sides are different people on their royal court. What roles would they have?

omg this is so interesting okay okay

c!thomas - the fair and kind king, the kingdom is thriving, everyone loves him. he does stress a lot, but everyone in the castle and kingdom is happy so he tries to be too. he organizes (or asks logan to) many celebrations and fairs, plays etc..

patton - the kings cook! though he cooks for everyone. if somebody comes back late at night or are feeling down, he always gives them fresh, warm cookies. people love his cooking and little jokes he makes while he cooks or serves the food.

virgil - nobody is actually 100% sure that he is real. everyone has had an encounter with "the ghost" but people still think he is some sort of legend. patton is aware that he is real though, they have late night talks with cookies and milk:) but mostly he tries to help out from behind the scenes

roman - definitely a royal knight! the most important one, too, all other knights listen to him (even if he tells them to sing his favorite songs) also he begss to get to be the main character in every single play that the king plans

logan - advisor no.1! gives king suggestions on how to improve life in the castle and their whole territory. finds any problem first, whether it'd be why the toilet is not working or how close enemies are

remus - court jester, obviously! he only got the job because roman is super important, but he is trying his best,, some jokes dont land well with most people, but he just does his own thing, and nobody really bothers him (janus loves his jokes tho)

janus - idk how to explain it but he was sent in by an enemy to learn their secrets and betray thomas, but he kinda doesnt want to do that anymore because he really loves it there. he likes getting snacks from patton and remus' jokes. he likes the way that thomas rules the kingdom. he likes the ghost that lives in the walls. he likes how logan can function properly under any circumstances, and he likes how roman can always make everyone smile

i hope this is what you meant 🙏 honest to god i had to google stuff but then just went back to my imagination anyway

You know I think the funniest thing about the modern Voltron fandom is that in 2016 (and well over a decade leading up to then!) mullets were a stereotypically untouchable hairstyle. They had not been trendy since the 80s. That's why Keith's hair was a joke -- it was based on the 80s cartoon (barely a mullet anyway) and literally 30 years out of date. But now, fast forward 9 years, mullets are at long last coming back into fashion it seems like some people... don't realize? That that's the point? Like, when I first saw someone with a mullet in the wild in 2021 I was shocked and genuinely told all my friends about it because mullets are so severely uncool. I got behind a wolf cut because it seemed to be just a heavily layered hairstyle, and if that's not a mullet,,, I mean maybe Keith's hair isn't either but in retrospect that was clearly the beginning of the end. Fashion has now changed enough that one of the more famous running jokes in Voltron doesn't work the same way anymore and younger fandom members think Lance was just making fun of Keith for no reason or to be a dick. And obviously I think people can do what they want with their hair and modern mullets do look cool to modern eyes; that's the way fashion works! But it's really funny to watch fashion trends slooooowly date the show.

spring semester is over so i can finally focus on what really matters (klance, minecraft, fanfiction, and making edits)

Okay... I have to point something strange out that I can't stop thinking about. Look here:

[Season 7, Episode 10: Heart of the Lion, 03:13 ; 03:35]

Here we see the Garrison Officers all on one side with the MFEs behind them, and on the other side we have Team Voltron, just like the last time they had a meeting. But what I find strange is that... Lance is sitting on the side of the Garrison and Veronica is sitting on the side of Team Voltron... I found this very odd, because wouldn't it make more sense to have Lance and Veronica switch places?? Why is Lance sitting next to Sam on the Garrison side instead of on the Team Voltron side??

Idk... I found this very strange and out of place... It almost feels like they put him there to avoid placing him next to Keith... usually Voltron is very purposeful with the placement of characters. Why would they go so far to avoid placing Lance next to Keith?? unless it had a deeper meaning ???

And it's even more suspicious, because the next time they're in a meeting in the same episode, Lance is on Team Voltron's side as usual, but this time he's placed next to Allura...

Actually... several characters look like they're downright copy pasted from the first frame... such as the MFE's and Romelle and Iverson and General Sanda and Hunk.... But yeah, I found this very strange.

Right next to Sam, where Lance sat in the last meeting scene. This is so odd, and it reminds me a lot of the edits they made to Knights of Lights, where they kept switching Lance with other characters to avoid having him next to Keith...

Could they have been avoiding having Lance sit next to Keith already from season 7? this is just a really odd thing I noticed..

ok voltron magical girl au where everyone is also a girl and allura is kind of like kyubey from madoka magica but like not super evil and shes seeking out girls who can save the universe from the galra

and everyone gets a magical girl transformation except pidge who gets one but also gets a giant terrifying hulk monster form bcs i think thats pretty funny

coran is like just there he stays pretty much the same

and instead of forming voltron they can combine their powers and synch up to mentally become voltron and become stronger together #friendship

and then the mfe pilots (mmmg’s (pronounced triple M g’s)) are like man made magical girls. after sam holt was sent back to earth with a sample of allura’s magic they somehow programmed wristbands that when activated give them magical powers and a magical girl transformation and its like WAHOO YAY and instead of more traditional weapons they pretty much all get magical guns and uts super awesome and epic and im only doing this bcs its so fun to draw
