Callie not wanting to say that they’re engaged out loud because then it makes it REAL is just more of Joanna’s stonewalling of this ship. like Joanna can’t EVER allow Callie to be fully ALL IN WITH JAMIE COMPLETELY. EVEN WHE SHE IS ALL IN WITH HIM. 

there always has to be some kinda caveat. and it’s not a lack of love on her part but rather its a badly explored fear of commitment that is almost definitely stems from her childhood and feelings of abandonment. 

but like the show never goes THAT deep with it. so im left to fanwank the psychological reason WHY she doesn’t want to shout from the rooftops that she’s engaged and happy and in love. WHEN SHE IS. 

and thing is, Maia and Beau have BOTH went on record saying how much they are invested in the relationship and ship it and believe Callie and Jamie are meant to be............so this is aalllllllllllllllll Joanna lol and i hate it.
