"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.

six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.

point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but it won't build you the the muscles.

I noticed you also noticed the colorism in tlok, do you think it influenced how Makorra was written? Mako, who is characterized as being unimpressed with Korra, is easily impressed by Asami.

I know that him finding Korra attractive isn't the point, but have a brown girl to make him realize that looks don't matter is degrading, not romantic. There was something stereotypical about the way a muscular brown woman was never showed any physical attraction from her love interest who has shown to care about things like that.

I think it influenced how Makorra played out and even how they had her final lesson be that she should humble herself. It's very suss to have her be beaten down the way they did when that never happened to Aang. I've literally never rewatched it because I found it all so offputting. The whole final season was like a long humiliation ritual.

Trump signed an executive order to end birthright citizenship and thus I will probably not be here this time next year. They will be arresting people like me at some point this year. All I've ever done is go to school, work, and pay taxes but it doesn't matter because I'm not white. This is something I knew would happen. This is something I asked people I considered friends to think about. I wanted my friends to just listen but they couldn't because they hated Mexicans more than they cared about me. I was told my family and I weren't a target only the Mexican criminals "stealing black jobs". I was mocked behind my back about my concerns and fears for me and my family. I was called stupid.

I've never been stupid and I'm rarely wrong.

Anyway, Trump is doing all this because he admires Hitler. Hitler convinced people to scapegoat the Jewish and then mass deported them out of the country or into camps. Economic instability was also key part of the Nazi rise to power. Trump knows that removing so much of America's workers will cripple the economy. He knows that scapegoating some of the working class and creating infighting distracts us all from resisting our oppressors. It'll distract people from noticing as SS, Disability, Medicare vanish. Or when police are given immunity and protesting is illegal. Or when women lose all their rights.

Someone will claim I'm being dramatic but again...
