What the hell man? I wasn’t prepared for that. I’m holding on to that asterisk on the dead because Kore can’t die.

Kit cant have a happy ending if Kore dies. And Kit needs that happy ending. I already sent her to hell in one au, that’s enough hell for her (and lord knows I give her enough angst even when she’s not literally in Hadestown)

But if Kore is dead this time Kit is going to have to be the one I send to wherever their soul went and drag them back or die trying.

This one image has been in my head since I figured Kore wouldn’t get mind controlled and other heroes like Kit, Lottie and Lani would. Just, the concept of her dying on the hands of the people she cared about most is so great to me, I love it ok?

Not to spoil much as I am a third into drafting a fic about this, but it would happen right as the pjs(and Adrian I believe) break into the GT facility to break Romek out(Adrian is there to blow shit up) and Kore was tasked with distracting the mind controlled heroes so that they have an easier time. Even if the others, including Adrian who proposed this, didnt know, Kore was well aware that she’s probably not making it out alive. Even with all the traps she prepared and the fact that she had a flying vehicle was not enough to incapacitate so many trained enhanced individuals, especially once the last one caught her on the ground…

So yeah, Kore is dead*, and it only took me this long to finish the damn drawing because I was busy trying to not fail third grade highschool and drafting the damn fic(there’s so much angst y’all)

Anyways thank you and I apologise to everyone who’s got emotionally attached to Kore. I will link the fic here when I finish it. Also to the three people who knew about this beforehand: no spoilers pls.

My eyesight is pretty stable at this point in my life so I’m not worried. And actually my eyesight improved as I got older (it happens sometimes with farsightedness). At some point it’ll start deteriorating again but once your development slows down you tend to stay pretty consistent. Yearly exams are pretty important as a kid because you’re constantly growing thus leading to changes but I’m not to worried at this point in my life.

It could be. I mean it’s a pretty active fandom at this point. Not really, it was purposeful. My dad hid the box too. He doesn’t want people on screens because he thinks my younger sisters have a problem. And technically all necessities function without it.

What if GT never happened au aka the what if Grayson Gunn got into art school au

Ngl, I love this au, the drawing didn’t come out as well as I hoped but I guess that’s what getting used to the grittier paper does. Anyways, au rand under the cut :}

So in this AU, (obviously )GT simply does not exist, which means that no one gets experimented on or trained like animals to be child soldiers(yey)

So without GT to worry about, Kore, although born into a privileged family, instead focuses on societal issues, embracing the punk in her.

She also has the mental capacity to graduate early(she’s just smart like that), start on some college and… start a band!(does this make it also a band au? Who knows)

As you probably would have guessed, she plays bass, but also does some vocals too, ‘s been a while since posting the voice claim but just imagine Beidou from GI singing punk metal and you’ll get the right idea. I have no idea who the other band members would be, if there are any musical ocs out there, I guess they can join(I don’t know if Ambrosius counts since he’s more of a pop star and prolly has to deal with his mom’s bullshit anyways).

The band does charity gigs at parks, bars, cafes, etc, to raise money for the orphanages who(without a billionaire to buy out orphans of insane many) I imagine are quite struggling, maybe also for tuition fees for those in need, and other such causes. On one of those gigs, she meets Kit, who came in to suport the band, and they instantly get on like a house on fire(was that a Curses pun?). Here Kit would just be a normal teen, working hard on graduating high school and doing collage with a part time job on top of that(she’s just crazy like that) and just being a great person in general.

Also, in terms of trauma ™️ while not as severe, it still exists if yer parents were willing to sell you to gt they’re probably not that great anyway. So in the near future I guess Kore would fight to get custody of her siblings.(she already moved out but visits frequently and takes her siblings to gigs and stuff)

also not gonna get too into the details but the fact that I cannot give Kore the same haircut twice is hilarious.

Now I also get to break down the outfits! So I decided that with less crow palette she’d be wearing more light colors, but they’re still a purple girly, but I also liked the blue so yeah. And with kit, she really strikes me as someone who would enjoy the whimsygoth cottagecore kind of style, and I’ve kind of come to associate her with more darker pinks and nice greens for some reason. I really enjoyed that part of the process tbh :}

Also, sorry Ambriel, I tried to give Kit the died tips but the paper wouldn’t cooperate.

I suppose that is true. You do have the power of persuasion. And I mean for the goofy blue hat that is technically 100% in your power. You can just draw whatever you want really.

Mina Lacey Griffin

She/They, 21, 5’ 9”.

So she wouldn’t be a very plot relevant character. I just considered since Gunntech made werewolves by accident why couldn’t they have made vampires.

They wouldn’t be a one to one with a fantasy vampire obviously but she does do the whole blood sucking thing, just not in human form. The desire is still there but they have to transform into their bat form which I’ll draw eventually I’m sure.

I think bats would be Gunntechs first attempts at flighted hero’s since their more similar to humans than birds. Why they went with the common vampire bat I don’t have a good reason for but yknow. It’s my oc I can do what I want.

She’s deceptively innocent looking. She has and will kill people. Nobody has connected it to Gunntech. They don’t consistently stay in one area. She can still eat regular food so she doesn’t kill all the time but she does it consistently enough that it’s become noticeable.

Yea Manbat is a Batman character. He’s one of those scientists experiment on himself goes terribly wrong characters. But there’s also times where there’s numerous Manbat creatures.

They appreciate the sentiment at least. 50/50 probably. I mean depends how hungry they are. Do it! I’m down! I love that idea where the first person they killed was actually someone they were close to. Plus I’d love to have more interconnected ocs.

Yeah, totally get how you could forget that. I’m not 100% certain they’d kill Nori but given how Gunn interacts with them even with mind control as an option there’s a distinct possibility.

Yeah but unfortunately you don’t exist in universe. You can’t point out that something isn’t right.

He is too ambitious for his own good which is as you said what would lead to his downfall. Yes they do grow the wings from their arms, like Manbat.

Yeah that’s quite awhile to be alone. She finds ways to keep herself occupied. Picked up the odd hobby here and there. She plays the guitar. She has an acoustic that she usually plays with the muffler in. A couple years in when she felt less like GT was going to pop out and find her at any moment she started to go to highly populated areas. You’re leas likely to get spotted in highly populated areas (like fairs, malls, etc). Plus then she can feel connection to people even if it’s just for one day. If she wants to really feel normal at fairs and events she tries to steal money beforehand to avoid attention and so she can just do things. In more recent years she likes going to bars and clubs because it’s a good place to find people she doesn’t feel guilty about killing.

Yeah it is terrible. Go for it! Nothings stopping you. I need to finish my dead oc. Even though I love Mina it’s fun to give her a narratively.

Yeah it would be a real doozy of a rewatch that’s for sure. I don’t know about Nori but I know that Luna wouldn’t have died if she’d been captured earlier. Because even before they’d created mind control it was always their hope to get her back under their control. Luna has powers that GT doesn’t want to lose. And Lunas not enough of a threat to their company to need to be eliminated. Nori there’s a good possibility they could have died since they’ve been messing up GTs plans for so long. Mina dies because they have been proven a threat to people, and GT has flighted hero’s in the roster so they’re obsolete. There’s not enough reward to balance out the risk of trying to gain control again. Plus there’s the aspect that Mina is a lot more easy to cover up than Luna or Nori, nobody has an emotional attachment to try to ask after her.

Gunn starting out his project with creatures that will definitely backfire if it goes wrong “I’m sure nothing bad will ever happen”

Really vampire bats are an absolutely terrible idea because they’re not even the largest or most impressive bats on the use for powers but I wanted a vampire oc in the GT AU so I made one. I suppose they could start with a vampire bat because bats other than vampires have trouble taking off of the ground and they didn’t want to deal with that possibility.

Yep Mina ran away when she was fairly young, probably when she was like 12. I think the desire for blood kind of increased as they used their powers more and more. Kind of like with hair color and eye color changes. I think she probably started out with just an increased desire for red meats. Then she’d start sneaking into the cafeteria to get the blood from the meat. I think it kind of came to a head with her attacking another trainee. After which she fled Gunntech (which saved their life, they would have been considered a failure and thus would have to be eliminated). She’s been on the run since. Raiding butchers shops, killing creeps, hiding out abandoned buildings, and the like.

I think like all the dead kids Gunntech did a really good job covering their tracks in regards to Mina. Nobody outside of Gunntech ever really knew about Mina. And Gunntech knows how to control the information inside their facilities.

Yes a halloween episode is 100% how I’d see her coming into play in a show. Just a sort of one off character. The PJS are asked to investigate this spooky house by people or their dared to by somebody. And they probably expect it to be nothing (or hope) but are spooked anyway. Then you know spooky noises and sights occur and eventually they actually see Mina. Then you know confrontation.

Actually now that I think about it an episode Mina would either have to have an ending that leaves the viewers worried and tense (because they’d escape) or spells out the end of Mina (though that would not be known at the time) because Mina being captured by GT means a termination of a failed project. I think the second option is more narratively interesting but also really dark. Because it makes the watcher and the pj masks believe that they’ve achieved the good ending and done the right thing by bringing in a dangerous individual.

But it unintentionally and unknowingly makes them complicit in murder (execution?). Which is something that wouldn’t be revealed until later in the show. It also then makes a Holiday special episode narratively significant when it could have easily assumed to be filler in a first watch through of a show

This is my oc her name is Theodora Mattea Walker. (She goes by Teddie) Both names meaning gift because she was a gift on their doorstep like Jay. Anyways here’s my thoughts I had on her (btw she’s based on me because technically she’s just part of the drawing myself in different styles challenge I did during the summer)

1. First I had to come up with an element and so I realized we already had two infinity stones as elements so why not more. So I was debating between Reality, Soul and Space (to anyone in the asking things there’s your explanation.) I decided on Space because that’s what most answered but also because Reality is to OP and while Soul was fun to ponder it’s also a bit too confusing in Ninjago lore plus it would also be kind of op in season 5. So space it was which means being able to teleport yourself and teleport things.

2. I really wondered how in the world I would join the ninjas I figured the most simple answer would probably be just in season 4. But I really liked the concept of her being Jay’s sibling mostly for crack reasons. Like imagine Ed and Edna just receiving a child on their doorstep twice, and then imagine learning years later that they both have powers. Also because I also have brown hair (that may occasionally have an orangish tone) imagine before learning their adopted them both thinking they are twins. Like they have literally no blood relationship but they look like they could be twin and thought they were twins. (Also why I included the eyebrow slit/scar. I thought it would be funny if one of them got injured and the other just shaved theirs to match.) I also would probably be excited to see Ed and Edna vs Jay’s annoyed. And I just think I could make a good sibling dynamic with Jay. (Also I’ve made so much ideas for something that was just supposed to be a drawing that I kind of want to make a story)

More on the twin thing for Jay and my character. I imagine them having an interaction in season 8 where they get mad at him for ditching the slit because “just because we’re not actually twins doesn’t mean we have to stop acting like ones”. Then perhaps they decide to get fake freckles just to spite Jay by continuing the twin thing. They will be twins whether Jay likes it or not.

3. I went with Maroon because my lovely spouse suggested it and also I find it very funny if all the guys are basic colors and then the girls are tertiary colors.

4. I went with a fox as the animal on the suit because I like foxes and I couldn’t figure out why they had the animals they each individually had so I just went with one I liked.

5. I went with Skybound gi’s because I liked the gi, it looked fun to draw, I like Skybound and I thought it’d be funny to have my character be in the clothes of the one timeline that doesn’t actually exist

6. One of the more difficult things with trying to do different art styles is my hair because I keep having to figure out how curls work in that art style. So in this case that is an actual Lego curly hair piece that I drew. (I picked that one because for short curly hair it was either that or share a hair piece with Umbridge and the second ones a no go)

I can say as a person from a small-ish town that is 100% normal. We have a Scooters, a Caribou, two locations of our locally owned coffee drive through and multiple locally owned cafes.

And I am pretty confident my town is smaller than Hatchetfeild. I mean our mall closed (well mostly there’s 2 shops and the theater and the rest is a liminal space) and theirs is still open.

Actually I don’t think Hatchetfeild is even that small, they have public two high schools (granted my town has two high schools but ones private and has a lot of out of town and country students). Plus a bunch of other stuff like an amusement park, plastic surgery clinic, children’s hospital, roller rink, arcade, etc.

I think it would be funny if Beanies has absolute shit coffee like the worst you’ve ever tasted but their hot chocolate is so good you ascend every time you drink it

Since Paul keeps going to Beanies NOT for the coffee but for Emma, while Pete has no reason to continually go to Beanies for anything but the hot chocolate

Yeah it is a long time. I was a late reader because I needed glasses and we didn't know it so it probably should have been earlier that I got them. Oh yeah glasses are definitely cheaper than contacts. I know that if you do daily's a 3 month supply can cost upwards of $200 dollars, and you can manage to get two pairs of glasses for not much more at Costco. I love Costco for glasses, it's buy one get one 50% off all the time which is great for a house with 4 glasses wearers.

I get that we are actually technically separated by time and space but that sounds so dramatic. Like I'm some being from the 16th century that you are magically communing with. Thank you for complimenting my writing though. I'd like to see Shakespeare write that. Tis a bit of a pity though that sometimes I write really good things in the reblogs and I doubt anyone other than you looks at them. Because let's be real who's tuning in to our long ahh conversations for little tidbits of lore (I should probably make some sort of lore masterdoc)

Anyways the point is I was dropping beautiful tragedy with my description of their options. Like I don't know why I suddenly became an eloquent writer it just happened. But I'm glad I made us both tear up. It would be embarrassing if I only made myself sad.

Yes I love that too. I think it's so fascinating that the more we dig the more entwined they become, the more we find ways their similar. They're different versions of the same trope. Kore embodies the parts of the trope that Kit doesn't (the bitterness, the rebellion, etc like you said). And yes the inevitable parentification, these poor kids who have to take care of kids. Not the realizing there were good things too late. That's so sad! Please someone teach our girls nuance, their drowning in their stubborn interpretations of what's happening.

Dark Matter by mysterycyclone is the best one in my opinion (I was accidentally traumatized on the way to school by one update though, I had to tell my friends immediately about what occurred it was that crazy, so take the warning at the beginning of the chapter seriously) there's a sequel to it still publishing which I need to catch up on. So without GT to worry about, Kore, although born into a privileged family, instead focuses on societal issues, embracing the punk in her.

She also has the mental capacity to graduate early(she’s just smart like that), start on some college and… start a band!(does this make it also a band au? Who knows)

As you probably would have guessed, she plays bass, but also does some vocals too, ‘s been a while since posting the voice claim but just imagine Beidou from GI singing punk metal and you’ll get the right idea. I have no idea who the other band members would be, if there are any musical ocs out there, I guess they can join(I don’t know if Ambrosius counts since he’s more of a pop star and prolly has to deal with his mom’s bullshit anyways).

The band does charity gigs at parks, bars, cafes, etc, to raise money for the orphanages who(without a billionaire to buy out orphans of insane many) I imagine are quite struggling, maybe also for tuition fees for those in need, and other such causes. On one of those gigs, she meets Kit, who came in to suport the band, and they instantly get on like a house on fire(was that a Curses pun?). Here Kit would just be a normal teen, working hard on graduating high school and doing collage with a part time job on top of that(she’s just crazy like that) and just being a great person in general.

Also, in terms of trauma ™️ while not as severe, it still exists if yer parents were willing to sell you to gt they’re probably not that great anyway. So in the near future I guess Kore would fight to get custody of her siblings.(she already moved out but visits frequently and takes her siblings to gigs and stuff)

also not gonna get too into the details but the fact that I cannot give Kore the same haircut twice is hilarious.

Now I also get to break down the outfits! So I decided that with less crow palette she’d be wearing more light colors, but they’re still a purple girly, but I also liked the blue so yeah. And with kit, she really strikes me as someone who would enjoy the whimsygoth cottagecore kind of style, and I’ve kind of come to associate her with more darker pinks and nice greens for some reason. I really enjoyed that part of the process tbh :}

Also, sorry Ambriel, I tried to give Kit the died tips but the paper wouldn’t cooperate.
