Reasons I am a Goro Akechi fan:

1. Funny when mean

3. The kind of character who wakes up one bright, beautiful morning and thinks, "I could end this now. Light a match, pick a road, and by the time they're sifting the ashes for my bones I'll be beyond the reach of anyone who knows my name." And he's actually holding a match when the haze ebbs, but even as he shakes his head sharply and puts it back in the matchbox, the urge is there. It's rooted too deep in him to ever really be gone. He'll return to this fantasy again and again, until one day it's stronger than he is and he disappears, leaving Akira with a handful of ashes.

Post-canon newly-dating Shuake and Akechi was a hot mess during the first few months being extremely protective over his bf like when Tokyo is struck with magnitude 5 and above earthquake, instead of duck, cover and hold, Goro would throw himself on Akiren shielding him from any falling debris/falling things or when they walk together, he’d be on the side of the road close to the cars or rush Akiren to the hospital at the slightest increase of his body temp. Akiren would remind him they’re supposed to be in equal footing here but Goro couldn’t help it because he nearly lost Akiren by his own hand in the interrogation room and by god he’s not gonna allow someone/something/some flu take Akiren away from him
