Psycho in 3 Minutes
Hello, I need to vent before I go to bed. To give you a better understanding, I am a 22 year old female who currently works at a hotel for animals. I know what it sounds but it is much more than playing with animals all day. I am basically an overpaid animal sitter.
I joined the hotel team about a year ago in August with two other people. After about a week, I started to form a relationship with the girl who was hired right before I did. For the sake of the story, lets call her Annie who just turned 21. Not long after, my chihuahua of 16 years wasn't doing too well. She started to have kidney issues that lead to the possibility of having her put down. I knew she was a fighter and got the best treatment for her. After three days of crying and hoping, she pulled through. Annie was there to help me ride the emotional roller coaster. 4 months later, my dog passed away.
After that experience, Annie and I were a team. We did everything together. We went to the movies and hung out on our days off. It came to the point where I would take her and pick her up from work since she didn't have a vehicle.
She started to talk to this boy who we will name Jose. He told her that he like the idea that she slept with another person before him. At that point they were just talking for a week. She wanted me to meet him to give her my opinion. Off the back I didn't like the guy. Come to find out he had major anger issues that resulted to violence. That is a hug red flag right there. She was already falling head over heels for the guy. Her past relationship was abusive so you would think she wouldn't even bat an eye for Jose. After a couple of weeks she sleeps with him and tells me all about it. Days went by and they were officially dating. Every week it would be something different. "He is ignoring me", "All he does is play video games when he gets home from work" and "he is such a good boyfriend". Three months into their relationship she moves in with him. Her and her parents aren't on the best of terms ever since they moved here two years ago.
Five months ago she finds out that she is pregnant. She already assumes that her parents are going to disown her since that is what they always told her growing up. She decided to keep the baby and stay in the relationship. Weeks after I get a phone call. Shes crying and I am unable to translate over the mumbling. I get in my car at 11:30pm and drive 30mins to go pick her up at her boyfriends house. Shes sitting on the curb crying her eyes out. I told her to grab a pair of clothes and get in the car. She did and I had her spend the night. She told me that they got into a fight over something little. The next morning, I took her back home to her boyfriends house.
There was a time where she was very nauseous and Jose didn't do anything about it. It was about 11pm when I got my flip flops on and I ran out the door. I went to Wal-mart, Smiths, and Walgreens in search for Preggie Pops. I spent over an hour trying to find something that would help her. It was 1am when I finally found something. I drove to her house, gave it to her, then went home. I was annoyed. Every week she would call out saying she was too nauseous to leave the house.
In February, there was talk at work regarding me. I only know this because Annie told me. Her being my friend, I believed it. She was saying that everyone disliked me and that ate me. I hated going to work knowing that. There were times that I was afraid of even saying the wrong words to them. One of our seniors put in their two week notice which opened a position. I wanted the title but she wanted the money. We tried to be civil about it by asking about our options. They were slim but it could of worked. It took weeks for us and the boss to decided who should be senior.
That senior positioned pushed our relationship against the current. When it came down to it, I was the one who was dependable, had the availability and a better fit for the position. Her knowing that, she would push her pregnancy thinking I would back down from the offer. Me being me, I would of. The offer was still on the table when I went to Montana for a week. When I came back from my vacation I noticed the schedule was different. I found out that Annie quite over text message and didn't tell me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited for her to message me.
She ghosted me for two months. No text or call. I thought I was her best friend. The one who went to her appointments and found out the gender together. The one who would always make her smile when her boyfriend was being mean. Apparently not.
When I got the senior position, everyone told me that Annie was a terrible person. She would say stuff behind my back to make herself look better by comparison. She was a two-face person that didn't deserve my loyalty. She made me think that everyone hated me to where I didn't want to come into work. She was the one who everyone hated. They were afraid to tell me this because I was her puppet. She would make me believe that they were lying. Now I know the truth. She was a terrible person.
Two days ago I get this message:
Annie: My dad passed away on Saturday and we are in the process of planning his service. Is there any way you could bring home my speaker from work and Jose will pick it up at some point from where ever? I need it for his service
Keep in mind, she didn't need the speaker for months since she quite. I left it on read and went about with my day. I didn't want to be in the middle of this. I didn't want any drama. She saw that I read it and made Jose message me saying.
Jose: Hey since your're not gonna answer Annie. How about we make it easier for the both of us. She really needs that speaker for the service that we're gonna have for her father since you might be aware that he passed away. i can come by your house to pick it up when you let me know you have it so she can have it back and you can avoid confronting her
I was irritated that she would send her boyfriend after me. I asked around asking what should I do? Should I block them or tell them that I won't help them so they could stop asking me. Of course I went with a passive aggressive message.
Me: Listen here, I'm not going to help you. I am well aware that your father passed away, and I feel sympathy. If you really need that speaker, after two months without needing it, you can get it yourself at the hotel. I don't appreciate you contacting me for a simple task that the two of you are too afraid of "confronting" us. The two of you need to learn that using people for your personal gain is disrespectful. Don't take people for granted. You'll understand when you grow up. Have a nice life
Not even five minutes go by and I get an angry message showing her true colors.
Annie: I really don't know who the fuck you're talking to but your definitely have nothing that i want. I would gain absolutely noting from you lmao. You're nothing. After 2 moths without needing it? My father didn't pass away until last week so no shit i need it now if that's when he passed away and i need it for his service. And no ones afraid of confronting you honey. i can most definitely go confront you if you'd like. It means nothing to me to do so. you feel sympathy for me due to the fact my father died? Hilarious that those are the only words you have to say to me when I was the only one there for you when your fucking dog died. Maybe you should take a step back and look in the mirror and worry about yourself being the age you are and being so fucking heartless and self centered (heart emoji)
After that she blocked me. I sent pictures of Annie's response to her boyfriend so she doesn't twists it. After an hour I get a response saying
Jose: Damn you got roasted (laughing emoji)
The two of them deserve one another. Both are toxic people who are ugly on the inside.
