I think I owe y'all an explanation
I've realized in my time away from this blog that I do not have an eating disorder, nor have I in the past. I did however have symptoms of panic attacks, disordered eating, and shit body image. I think when I was younger the disordered eating habits was largely me trying to control the panicky feeling I constantly felt, in addition to a misunderstanding of what health and how to treat your body properly was (maybe because my parents were always dieting). I think anyone feels awkward as they're growing taller and just puberty in general, but when your emotions feel as intense as mine did (tho I never showed it) and people are constantly commenting on how you look saying "you're too skinny", "you need to eat more", "get some meat on those bones", you would feel weird about everything too. All I wanted was to disappear. I felt so abnormal. So I guess that's wear the disordered eating came in. Anyway. I had a good break from it for a while, until thoughts returned thanks to familiar circumstances that brought back those familiar feelings and I didn't know how to handle it. It doesn't help either when your constantly comparing how you're eating to the intakes the recovery blogs your following are posting. Fortunately my phone went mental and decided not to work for an entire month, forcing me to be unable to check Tumblr of FB (a massive blessing in disguise). I was able to distance myself from everything that I didn't realize was just absolutely toxic for me mentally. Not that anyone did anything wrong, I swear. But it just wasn't good for me personally to be around with everything I was dealing with personally, not just the stuff I previously described. Once I got my phone in working order I deliberately kept away from this blog knowing it simply hasn't done me any good and wouldn't now. I hope you all are doing well! I am doing so much better. However I don't think I will be returning to this blog. I've been able to live my life without any thought of diet/body comparison or anything relating to those ideas in general. And it's wonderful. Keep striving towards a life beyond any unhealthy habits/thoughts/situations darlings. You'll be glad you did. XOXO
