Lomography 400: Thoughts

I’ve been exclusively shooting on Kodak and Fujifilm for the better part of two years (outside of Illford for black-and-white photos), and I finally made the conscious decision to start trying out different film rolls. So my first real expansion of film has been the use of the Lomography 400 speed 35mm film. I read online that the colors were saturated, and for the most part, that is correct. I find that this film does colors extremely well, but it’s shadows and exposure are very exaggerated. Shadows are extremely dark, and light is extremely bright. I actually really enjoyed the contrast of shadows, I just wish the exposure wasn’t so whack at times when it shouldn’t be. I also really enjoyed how clean the negatives were, no graininess here. Overall, it’s a pretty nice film, and I look forward to experimenting with it again.
