Personal interpretation of the story
main character is on the train in their somewhat formal attire (implying they have a 9-5 job?) just as a mysterious girl in her casual attire walks (maybe implying that they work in a more creative field ????) by them. They made eye contact for a split second as the girl glances back at the MC, this was enough for the MC to be captivated by her. Mesmerized, the MC chases after girl. As we follow the MC through the carriages, the environment changes. It started out with just dripping water, then it progresses too knee-deep level.
- I think in between the shots of the environment change montage, we could add shots of the MC's flashbacks (???) and it reveals that the girl that they are chasing is actually a version of their past, when they were young and still following their passions
- then it cuts back to them at the second to last carriage, supringsingly this carriage is completely dry and empty. after catching their breath, they open the door of the last carriage and was met with a massive flood, sumerging everything. now the MC is drowning and they start to panic. admist this chaos, the mysterious girl suddenly look back at them and they make eye contact, then out of a sudden, the girl reaches out to the MC. MC can be seen reaching out to the girl as well, but at the last moment, MC decided to fling the trains door open, and the MC is washed out onto the train station's platform, the MC's colors are completly drained matching the enviroment's color pallete ( refering to the slug line in the poem)
- last shot would be MC lying on the floor tired, as the train leaves, with the girl still on the train
