This week we got the most amazing opportunity to fly out to Calgary to see WestJets campus and let me tell you it's something I will never forget

This is a photo of me and my fellow Seneca students on our very first day of training with WestJet for our co-op , and now we get the privilege to join the WestJet teach permanently✈️

This photo was actually taken last week as WestJet celebrated 10 years of caring for kids donating and supporting about 8 charitable partners across Canada ( the cookie was delicious)

This week I wanted to share a photo of our luggage drop of system. With most airlines not having this new technology yet it's pretty unique and very interesting for guest to see this in action. Several guest when I'm assisting them say how awesome it is that they get to do this all them selfs , before you would have to stand in line and talk to a check in agent who would take your bag and put it on a belt now you can check in yourself with a kiosk and take your luggage to the self automated belt and do everything your self Everyone loves the new system and it gives the guest the chance to do everything them self which they love

This week I’m sharing a photo with you of we’re I actually work in the airport. This is WestJets Canadian and international kiosks and baggage drop off. This is were guest use the kiosks to check in , print boarding passes and baggage tags ,they can change seats on the aircraft , and weighing there luggage then it's sent on the belt were it's taken away on a conveyer to the guests flight .This is a rare photo that was taken at night after my shift at 23:00 usually the counter is always busy with happy westjetters and excited guest heading off too there destinations As we are usually the first point of contact for our guest , it’s key to set the tone for the excellent customer service that westjetters bring to the field every day. Hearing from a guest not necessarily even flying with WestJet that you taking the time to help them with their travel has made their experience better just makes your day. #WestJet #YYZ #teamWestJet 🌴🍍✈️

This was our very first day with WestJet, we were asked to meet David our WestJet trainer across from the airport where we would begin our first part of training. I remember being very nervous and not really knowing what to expect but I had my fellow Seneca students with me, most of which are my friends which helped make it a little less nerve-racking. we walk into the classroom to see our names on it and a  WestJet plane underneath ( which I thought was pretty cool) with it a goodie bag where we received our WestJet lanyards and scarfs and a couple other treats. David was excellent, we started with introductions and learned a little company culture and then we headed to the airport for on the job training. for our training, David quickly showed us how to use the kiosks and the baggage belt and then we were on our own to help other guests through the process. this day was one of the best experiences of my life getting to use my customer services skills front of the line with guests with the satisfaction that you helped make their travel a little bit easier was the best feeling #bestdayever #westjet
