Prepare for the best and expect the best!

If I’ve learned anything about vacationing—it’s that if you’re wearing the right outfit, you could be at the beach in the morning, bowling in the middle of the day, and clubbing at night.

A couple years ago I went down to San Diego and stayed with my friends who I let be my tour guide all week. On the first day down I wanted to go to the beach (it definitely wasn’t beach season quite yet in San Francisco), so I slipped on my All Mine Black Monikini—and covered everything up with my favorite pair of frayed denim shorts and my Step Up Black Blouse. To finish up this outfit I wore my Wilson Black Suede Booties—I didn’t mind taking all of this to the beach, because there is no way I would have let these booties hit the sand. My day kept going after the beach, we found out it was unlimited game night at the bowling alley, then heard about a club event later that night. Needless to say, I was pretty happy choosing this outfit when I woke up—I could not have been more prepared for anything that happened that day.

The next day I needed a break, a breather…a nice brunch. I threw on my Sunday best, made a coffee and we were  out on the hunt for the best eggs benny in town. There’s nothing more I love than my Trust Me Lace Shift Dress in Ivory paired with my Amy Natural Heels—and let me tell you, if the shoe has your name on it, it means you should wear it. Its a cute nude stiletto with a single strap on top, and I can wear it any time of the day too. Immediately after brunch we decided to go shopping—and I let my heels carry me around town without a worry in the world.

I’m not going to lie, I got really lazy for the rest of the week. But the secret to making any lazy outfit look trendy is by adding a nice gold chain to spice up the outfit. All it takes, is a nice gold chain and The Layer On Me Gold Lariant Necklace is my favorite go-to piece of all time, and knowing myself I’d be matching it with my Kendall Flats. Whether I was wearing my Lorelle Black Romper, my Marissa Top in Rose with my favorite pair of jeans, or just happen to throw on my Lily Toast Sweater Dress—adding any gold necklace as the statement piece instantly brightens any outfit you decide to wear for your summer vacation.
