Jaron: Pfft, as if I haven't been stabbed before.

i have this head cannon that throughout Jarons life when he goes to bars (wether its a boys night, escaping the kingly life, on the run, etc.) that he tips the bar maids crazy amounts. like life changing amounts

Darius: are those guys at school still bothering you?

Jaron: no, now it's just the Pirates

Darius: what

Jaron: what

Jaron shot him a glare, "I don't recall asking for your opinion."

Roden rolled his eyes. "You never do, but that doesn't stop me from saying it anyway."

Jaron grumbled a curse under his breath, but didn't protest anymore. He knew he was right.

Think its so clever that during the first read of the serries things like this won't matter much/dont really make you think about it. But when you read it a second time, everything suddenly makes so much more sense and its just super clever.
