Do you go to school in the morning, afternoon or night?
I will have classes in the morning and night. I HATE having night classes 😭

07.05.19 // this was me doing some revision over the bank holiday weekend (I feel like adulting is defined by when you start appreciating bank holidays 😅). It’s exam period & I’m worried that I’m running out of time, but let’s not go there… I’m being kept busy on secondary care placement, which is a good distraction. The days are long (8am-6pm), but I love learning from real patients so much!

happy april and happy friday!
today, i was quite productive: i worked out, wrote an essay of 1700 words, sent two emails which i’ve been procrastinating, and made a birthday card for my dad! i still want to finish an essay of 400 words before tonight. and that wraps up my to-do list for today!
sending positive thoughts, a warm mug of your favorite beverage (spring herbal tea for me), and your favorite snack bar (nakd blueberry muffin)! ☕️

5.15.19
The Spring semester is officially over (I had my final presentation last Thursday!!!). I’m a senior now !(?)
This semester was hands down the toughest for me, mainly because I injured my feet about a month into the term. Whenever I saw people using crutches around campus I always thought If that ever happens to me, I’ll just give up! I won’t go to classes!!
Well, seems I was tougher than that. But it really was difficult. The first two months were extremely painful. So painful that, now that I’m feeling much better, I just can’t believe I managed to limp across parking lots, on snow, up/down stairs….. T_T
It also took a toll on my mental health because I had to rest/rely on others a lot. I am so used to being busy and going all over the place. It was just awful. I also didn’t break a bone, I sprained a tendon (plantar fasciitis wouldn’twishthisonanyone) which takes longer to heal. I’m reaching month 3, but at least the swelling is completely gone. I’ve been going to physical therapy, and am walking almost pain free!
This injury really changed how I had envisioned this semester. I planned on joining a kpop dance club, doing volunteer work, working as much as possible to save money, and of course getting great grades. I didn’t get to join the new fun events, had to stop working, couldn’t exercise, and my low energy caused me to let things pile up. I was in danger of failing a class, too > < I worked hard the last few weeks, and my grades came out fine at least. My GPA went down, but just a little. I had a legit reason I guess… … . .
A great and exciting thing did happen during all of this torture. I won a scholarship from the US Dept. of State, called Critical Language Scholarship (CLS). It is a fully-funded program for college students to study a critical language abroad. I will be going to South Korea for 2 months this summer to study the language with other Intermediate level U.S. students. I was so worried this entire time that I wouldn’t be able to go due to my feet, but now I can actually be excited and look forward to June 😍
I also started my own personal WordPress blog a month ago. Will show it off here once I get some more articles posted on there and everything else set up!
So glad I have a break from academics, but my goals still need attention. What I will be focusing on this summer:
Getting an internship in Korea for the Fall semester
Practice my Korean before I go
Tutoring a second grader
Getting back into the gym
I’m really set on interning in Korea, so I registered for all online classes for Fall 2019. I also found out I can graduate a semester early if I wanted to. Well, I don’t want to (lol), so I’m taking 3 classes Fall 2019, and will only need 3 or 4 more when I return in Spring 2020.
****THE IMPORTANT PART:
Thanks for giving this blog LOVE even though I was on a semi-hiatus. We have reached 10,000 followers. I’m planning a giveaway soon so be on the lookout for that! ;)

5/20/19: day 3/100
today was my last day of regular classes, which feels kind of strange because it definitely doesn’t feel like i’ll be a senior in two days. i’ve just been prepping for my finals with friends after class. it’s great to have friends who make studying bearable lmao.
