Wednesday 2nd March - production
Today we started off by writing out our definitions of production. I wrote “the process of creating art, producing an outcome. Creating art and then producing copies of it. Prints.”
We had all brought in newspapers and we tasked of looking through them, collecting information to them create an outcome. As I had my ideas for my project in my head, one of them being relationships (though I’m not set on anything) while I was reading I saw an article about inappropriate behaviour from a teacher to a student. I cut out imagines and the clippings from the article and decided to display them like a presentation board in school. I wrapped my cardboard packing in many layers of fabric to get the green then cut out the black border and stuck it on. I then rearranged the layout of my clippings until I was happy with it.
Example of the boards in schools:

Tuesday 1st March:
Mind map for the new FMP project:
I started off thinking about relationships and all the connects within them. Going off of my own experience and others around me. I then thought more about experiences I’ve had and moved onto learning difficulties. I’m still going to explore more ideas in the blank spaces
A mind map looking closer at the topic of relationships and learning difficulties:

Project Two feedback. My aim for the next project is:
- Broader research use books, articles, journals etc
- Draw more to show the spontaneous development of ideas throughout my sketchbook
- More reflection and probing for the FMP to go up to the next grade
- Check over my written work to correct grammatical errors and make sure it makes sense.

Overall class feedback

Tuesday 8th February-
The first page is me planning all of the information I am going to use in my final outcome.
The second page is me exploring ideas of how I’m going to present the information

The final page is to show how I am going to lay out the pages for my final outcome. I was trying to decide whether to do a zine or a pamphlet. I drew them both out and had come to the conclusion that I’d do a pamphlet. I chose this as I wanted to information to be easily accessible to students and although it would be easier to carry around a zine I didn’t want the information to be so small it was hard to read.

Mind charity research-
“Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health. Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf” they claim to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. “We campaign to improve service and promote understanding. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect”
Mind has a 15 page printable document on stress. Inside they describe what stress is, signs of stress, what causes stress, how to deal with pressure, how to be more resilient, what treatments can help, how others can help, and useful contacts.
Although it is a good source for information I am looking to make something to be easily accessible for schools, something that isn’t heavy and overbearing, something easy to hand out to every student and carry around. I would like to narrow down the information in my final outcome to useful contacts, how to quickly feel better plus making it easier in the long run, the signs of stress mentally and physically, as well as how to slow down before you reach peak stress during exams and deadlines.
Useful contacts:
• samaritans.org 24-hour emotional support for anyone who needs to talk. Calls are free from all providers and do not appear on bills.
• Stress Management Society
stress.org.uk Information about stress and tips on how to cope.
• Stressbusting
stressbusting.co.uk Information about stress and techniques for coping. Lists several talking treatments and alternative therapies that can be used to treat stress.
•Big White Wall
bigwhitewall.com An online community of people who are finding it hard to cope. It’s completely anonymous so you can express yourself openly.
•Anxiety UK 08444 775 774 (Monday–Friday 9.30am–5.30pm)

Thursday 27th January-
8 minutes to make 8 possible outcomes for our project. Most of my ideas centred around getting information out about how to destress yourself along side different graphics. I was thinking about screen printing, procreate, and colleges put into a zone or a poster

Wednesday 12th January-
Interview with Max (asked to post):
How are you feeling right now?
I feel good I’m happy. I just set up my finals I’m renting a flat in Brighton. I have a job and several lovely possessions and the occasional friend and a fantastic family.
Is there anything at the moment that is getting you down or stressing you out?
Um… now assessments are over not really no. I’ve been very stressed recently due to the assessments having left it so late or having let them so late shall I say. But now they’re over I feel relived
What effects does the stress you experience feel like on your body mentally and physically?
Umm.. what does stress feel like I’ve never really thought about what it feels like it feels like there’s too much to think about there’s so much going through my head it’s hard to even go through it there’s so much whizzing through my head it’s overwhelming. Oh I don’t get hungry when I’m stressed when I was working on exams it’s not on purpose but I just forget to or I don’t feel hunger. It got really late one night and I realised I hadn’t had my dinner then sometimes it’ll suddenly come on me and I’ll feel sick until I eat
Typically when you’re feeling stressed or low what do you do to make yourself feel better?
I pretty much just try and rush and do it i over work to try to just get it over with a cause I know that that I’m not going to not be stressed until I’ve completed the task that’s causing me to be stressed. Or make progress on the task
How do you feel about the future?
I like that it’s unknown by that it’s a little bit scary because of that same thing but I like that it’s unknown and I feel quite optimistic for the future. I’m not someone that thinks about the future much. I do things as they come I don’t plan ahead much
Do u experience any of the following when ur stressed, aches and pains, chest pain or a feeling like your heart is racing, exhaustion or trouble sleeping, headaches, dizziness or shaking, high blood pressure, muscle tension or jaw clenching, stomach or digestive problems?
Maybe trouble sleeping. And actually maybe chest pain.

Interview with Amélie about stress: (asked to post)
How are you feeling right now?
A: Umm I don’t really know I don’t know how to express my feelings. I’m fine.
Is there anything at the moment that is getting you down or stressing you out?
A: My college work and my arm. Mostly college work in general, being behind, feeling like I am going to fail but I don’t want to.
What effects does the stress you experience feel like on your body mentally and physically?
A: I definitely get headaches and I think I start to disconnect in my head subconsciously so I dont have to deal with the stress
Typically when you’re feeling stressed or low what do you do to make yourself feel better?
A: Well for my college work when I’m feeling really stressed, I try to do more work but in general (Long pause) I don’t usually have very healthy coping strategies. I stay in bed or actually my strategie is, I have a few but one of them is sleeping a lot and not getting out of bed. Unless it’s for college work then I try to get work done but with every other thing I just sleep a lot more.
How do you feel about the future?
A: I am trying not to think about it. Because if I think about it too long I get stressed and anxious.
Do u experience any of the following when ur stressed, aches and pains, chest pain or a feeling like your heart is racing, exhaustion or trouble sleeping, headaches, dizziness or shaking, high blood pressure, muscle tension or jaw clenching, stomach or digestive problems?
A-honestly I don't really get stressed often, I kind of avoid feeling stressed. like I shut down my brain and get the work done that I'm stressed about
Photos I took before during and after the interview:
