A sweet modified bread.

Blog#1 Yes! you read that thing right ”A sweet modified bread”. 

A big thanks to  ancient Egyptians who thought of baking and making a boring bread to a delicious dish “CAKE”, yes! it was Egyptians who invented the cake.

Derived from  the Old Norse word "kaka".  The ancient Greeks called the cake “satura” and in  Roman period “ placenta”. It was basically basic bread dough enriched with butter, eggs, and honey, which produced a sweet and cake-like baked good. In olden days cake wasn't round, rectangle or heart shape which we order for our loved once it was just a bread loaf and pure honey pour on top (today ”icing”). So England decided to make simple to easily differentiate between “cake” and “bread” (boring) and here the trend started and standardize to make a sweet bread to round sweet bread.

Let's appreciate all those people who contributed to cake history and also bakers around the world who are spreading happiness & sweetness (knowingly/unknowingly).
