They all say that Lana's music is depressed but I say it's a soul saviour. I feel like it reflects a lot of my thoughts and feelings, there are things that we don't usually share with anyone but yourself and music is kind of like a way to comfort yourself, to make everything less heavy. Lana's music, somehow get me through many complicated stuffs in my life, her music is more than just a song, it's something I could listen to in anytime, any state and could never get tired of. It's been 5 years since I discovered Lana and everyday from that day 'til now I still listening to her. Along the way, I also discovered Marina, Florence, Camila, Grimes, Allie X, Tove Lo, Lorde,.... but none of these got great impact on my life as Lana. I feel happier now because of her but just like she said in one of her lyrics "Out of the black, into the blue", I'm still sad but not that kind of depressed, it's like a happier sad (lol this is confused). Yup, a happier sad and no more thoughts about self-harm and murdered and death in general. Many people also said that Lust For Life is her worst album and she became generic and sucked, well firstable she got no bad album, secondable she didn't make herself more generic, it's just many people found themselves in her music that's why they became her fan, and I actually thinks that Lust For Life has some of the best pieces of art in her music career, in this album she became happier but she still has to struggle through things in her life, the ending of this album probably the best ending in an album of her career. It ends with Heroin, Get Free and Change which talk lots about life, something that makes it become special and those 3 songs, to me, is one of the most effected songs from Lana especially Change and Get Free. Those 2 songs really help me realized many things and feel happier. To end this text, I just want to send my thankful message to God because he had decided to create Lana and all her beautiful peaces of art <3
