Introduction
Hello everyone,
For my project I have decided to use the  “Outlook on Life Surveys, 2012″ database. Provided by the  Inter-University consortium for Political and Social Research
Is income level related to sexual orientation?
That will be the main question I will be trying to find an answer for.
My hypothesis based on the research I have done so far is that heterosexual cisgender people on average have a higher yearly income than people from the LGBTQ+ community
According to the article “Measuring the effect of sexual orientation on income: evidence of discrimination?” wrtitten by: Nathan Berg & Donald Lien:   “Nonheterosexual men earn 22% less than heterosexual men, and nonheterosexual women earn 30% more than heterosexual women”.
However my research will not have the “gender” factor included as a variable, and therefore, I am sure that  a totally different outcome will show in my results.
The 2 main variables that I will be using will be Sexual orientation (dividing subjects into 2 groups: people who self identify as heterosexuals and people that identify as any other orientation) & Anual Income (divided in19 different groups)
I hope you are as interested to learn more about this question as I am, If you are please be ready for more posts, Thank you for your time.
