“Oh- pfff.” Blake exhales through puffed cheeks and waves one hand, as if to clear the air. “I mean, look. It’s not really dirty laundry that I like to hang out.” She’d told exactly one person even the slightest detail since it all happened, and she’d been beyond rip-roaring drunk at the time. “Even to very kind bartender-therapists. Besides, between you and me?” Blake leans in conspiratorially. “I’m kind of terrible, too.”

“Oh, please, I understand! As much as I love hearing everyone’s stories, I know that it’s not for the best to air out your business like that.” Though, her interest was peaked, just for her own amusement, had nothing to do with her mission. Anamika leaned in as well, lips curving upwards. “You? I don’t believe it.”

“Do that instead of participate in the fun? Your boss is bold,” Leon muses with a small laugh. “Right, right, just this once.” That wouldn’t do much to stop him from asking again. “Now, what do you want to eat so I can plan when to collect on my deal?”

“It’s because I’m his best employee yet.” Anamika Sinha worked hard as a bartender, the job was enjoyable for the most part and it gave her various faces to use. “I want loaded fries. Lots of bacon and sour cream, it’s over there.” She doesn’t wait for him as she made her way to the stand. “Have you met with any of the Omegas?”

          “That’s  a  feat  actually.   I  have  never  been  very  good  at  multi-tasking.   Some  people  are  just  able  to  learn  it  well  I  think.”   He  smiles.   “How  long  did  it  take  you  to  get  better  at  it?” 

“It just takes a lot of time and patients, that’s all,” she said. “For me? It took... a few months? Maybe a little less?”

“ eh, to put it simply - ” - aka, the only way may knows how because she got a C in chemistry and never touched it again - “ - resonance tends to make a molecule more stable. the bond is delocalized, so an atom that doesn’t want it doesn’t have to accept it… et cetera, et cetera. ” even to a bartender, chemistry was likely not the most titillating thing to discuss… and may forgot what website she was on when she basically read ‘resonance theory for dummies’ so… “ so now the question is: how do you permanently coat something in resonance ? ah, as a bartender, i’m sure you moonlight – daylight ? – as a professional chemist. ” bartender wants hot gossip and gets scientific bullshit instead ? best to make light of that spotty decision !

Oh, Anamika was beginning to regret this. Another conspiracy theorist type, goodness, she didn’t want to hear this shit. But she couldn’t tell the other to stop, instead, she just nodded her head and hoped that she looked very interested in this conversation. “Oh, yes, you’re right, I am a professional chemist by day. Though, I would love to hear from you,” Anamika said, leaning forward just a tad. “I’m not sure, how do you permanently coat something in resonance?”

Despite interacting with fans all day, Yazmín was still taken aback by another approaching her. She’s not sure she would ever get used to fame, the pros or the cons of it. “I am, yeah,” she smiled, then nodded at the question. “Of course, what’s your name? Oh, you should sit,” she gestured to the chair across from her. Laurel had gone to find Milo a minute ago, so she figured it’d be at least another half hour before she came back. “Thanks for coming to the festival. I hope it wasn’t a long trip for you.” 

“It’s Makali, it’s so nice to meet you!” She doesn’t waste anytime to sit across from the others, legs bouncing with excitement. “Oh, it wasn’t actually, just a ten minute walk from where I was. Maybe a bit longer if I had left from my apartment.”

“There’s a cat that doesn’t like me,” Lev said with a shrug, doing his best to push away his gloom without using his abilities. There was something a little odd about being on the other side of the equation, when he was usually the one managing others’ emotions, but hey. He wasn’t the bartender. “I don’t know what I did, y’know?”

“A cat?” You’ve got to be kidding me-- “A stray cat, I’m guessing? Maybe it doesn’t like people, nothing to do with you specifically.”

“That’s sweet of you,” Blake says, and she means it — and she laughs a little, because she appreciates the honesty in ‘both, I guess’. “I probably could’ve used you about, mm-” She makes a show of looking at her wrist, which definitely doesn’t have a watch on it. “Five-ish years ago, to tell me not to get involved with the guy at all.” As if Blake hadn’t already known what she was doing was wrong, and as if she would’ve listened to outside input even a little.

“If I was here five years ago, I would’ve stopped you.” Probably not but she would humor the other woman. “Alright, you need to tell me everything about this prick. How terrible he is because I’m curious.”

          “A  couple  of  weeks,   I  think.   I  know  I  called  my  mom  more  recently,   but  she  hung  up  on  me  because  she  can’t  talk  and  cook  at  the  same  time.” 

“Oh, that I can understand! I used to be terrible at talking and cooking, hell, when I first started this job, I had a difficult time making drinks and chatting with our customers.”

“You’re a bartender, I thought you made better tips than that,” Leon quips. The question seems common, but he’ll give her a more straight answer than Sora. “Yeah, mostly here for Yaren support, but it’s better than the office.” He nods his head in the direction of the food. “Get what you want, but I better get at leason one beer out of this next time I come in.”

“I forgot to bring the money from that job with me.” Though, to be honest, she tried to separate Makali and Anamika Sinha’s money as much as possible. “I get that,” she said. “My boss almost asked if I wanted to work during this, selling alcohol to everyone.” She rejected it because she wouldn’t be able to enjoy herself, walking around as Makali was a lot better than selling drinks for four hours. “Alright, alright! But just once, you got it?”

“Blindsided by an ex, actually.” Blake smiled sardonically, accepting the beer with a lazy cheers. Not that she could actually consider Hriday an ex, not really, it was just… the easiest parallel without having to explain. “Are you a bartender that likes to therapize, or just one that goes for the hot gossip? No wrong answer.”

“Oh, yikes. That sounds terrible.” Exes were terrible, especially ones that ended badly. She laughed gently. “Both, I guess? I just like talking to whoever comes here and hearing whatever is on their minds, and if they want, I’ll offer some advice.”

He should be used to seeing Anamika as Makali by now, but it still throws him through a loops when he’s least expecting it. “And you think I’m rich,” He chides, already fishing for a his wallet. It’s not like he’ll get out of it, regardless.

“You have more money than me right now.” Though, if she were being honest, she still would’ve hounded Leon to give her money. He was the older brother of course, it was his job. “Enjoying yourself?”

          “I’ve  always  got  something  on  my  mind.”   Chris  took  the  drink  and  slipped  on  it  before  placing  it  back  on  the  counter.   “I  was  just  thinking  about  how  I  need  to  call  my  moms  soon.   Check  in  on  my  brother.”
