Corona virus
Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can cause respiratory illness in humans. They are called “corona” because of crown-like spikes on the surface of the virus. Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and the common cold are examples of coronaviruses that cause illness in humans. The new strain of coronavirus — SARS-CoV-2 — was first reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. It has since spread to every country around the world.Coronaviruses are often found in bats, cats and camels. The viruses live in but don’t infect the animals. Sometimes these viruses then spread to different animal species. The viruses may change (mutate) as they transfer to other species. Eventually, the virus can jump from animal species and begin to infect humans. In the case of SARS-CoV-19, the first people infected are thought to have contracted the virus at a food market that sold meat, fish and live animals.

Dowry
Dowry is a social evil in the society, that has caused unimaginable tortures and crimes towards women. The evil has taken lives of women from all stratas of society - be it poor, middle class or the rich. However it is the poor who succumb and fall prey to it, more due to their lack of awareness and education. One of the basic functions of a dowry has been to serve as a form of protection for the wife against the very real possibility of ill treatment by her husband and his family. The dowry system dehumanizes women by treating them as property — goods that can be exchanged. To make matters worse, the system also casts them as a burden, rather than an asset, to be passed along — a bride's family pays the groom's family for the cost of taking care of the bride.

Corruption Corruption erodes trust, weakens democracy, hampers economic development and further exacerbates inequality, poverty, social division and the environmental crisis.Exposing corruption and holding the corrupt to account can only happen if we understand the way corruption works and the systems that enable it. Corruption happens when one abuses power entrusted to them for personal gain. This misuse of power erodes the trust between two or more parties and makes a democracy weak. Not only that, but corruption can also hinder the economic growth of a nation and aggravate poverty and inequality. It is essential to understand how corruption works to be exposed and the corrupt can be held responsible for creating a corrupt system. By- shruti maheshwari

Water management
Water management is the activity of planning, developing, distributing and managing the optimum use of water resources. Water is a basic necessity. No living creature can live without water. There’s a scarcity of water. To avoid this scarcity, water is saved and managed efficiently.Drip irrigation: Drip irrigation is a type of irrigation which that saves water and fertilizer by dripping water slowly to the roots of various crops, either onto the soil surface or directly onto the root zone, through a network of valves, pipes, tubing, and emitters. This saves more water than the traditional watering method. Rainwater harvesting: Rainwater harvesting is the accumulation and deposition of rainwater for reuse on-site, rather than allowing it to run off. Here, rainwater is stored for further use.

Racial discrimination
The Equality Act 2010 says you must not be discriminated against because of your race.
In the Equality Act, race can mean your colour, or your nationality (including your citizenship). It can also mean your ethnic or national origins, which may not be the same as your current nationality. For example, you may have Chinese national origins and be living in Britain with a British passport.
A racial group can be made up of two or more distinct racial groups, for example black Britons, British Asians, British Sikhs, British Jews, Romany Gypsies and Irish Travellers.
You may be discriminated against because of one or more aspects of your race, for example people born in Britain to Jamaican parents could be discriminated against because they are British citizens, or because of their Jamaican national origins.

Awareness on climate change.
Climate change is a serious problem and the effects can clearly be seen through new and extreme weather. I think that many people have under estimated climate change, because they automatically associate it with global warming and do not believe that it is real. However, it is a huge and growing concern. Climate change is an accepted scientific consensus proven by a large amount of data. The first step to impacting climate change is to change this mistaken view. By stressing the amount of evidence showing that climate exists, the need to work to reduce it will become apparent. Then, actions can be made to slow climate change. Climate change is largely influenced by human activities and the production of greenhouse gases. By reducing the world’s carbon foot print, the effects of global warming will become less extreme. Unlike previous species and our ancestors that inhabited the Earth before us, we have the gift of foresight and the scientific, mathematic and engineering knowledge to implement changes to benefit the future and lessen the damage that has already been done. Yet, politics and bureaucracy continuously inject roadblocks when it comes to implementing necessary changes and has historically tried to discredit some of the verifiable evidence regarding global warming and climate change; hindering public knowledge and awareness. We are now coming into a new phase of enlightenment, with society now becoming more aware and acknowledging the dangers humanity faces from global warming.

The term unemployment refers to a situation where a person actively searches for employment but is unable to find work. Unemployment is considered to be a key measure of the health of the economy. The most frequently used measure of unemployment is the unemployment rate. It's calculated by dividing the number of unemployed people by the number of people in the labor force.Unemployed workers must maintain at least subsistence consumption during their period of unemployment. This means that an economy with high unemployment has lower output without a proportional decline in the need for basic consumption.

Stress has become part of students’ academic life due to the various internal and external expectations placed upon their shoulders. Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to the problems associated with academic stress as transitions occur at an individual and social level. It therefore, becomes imperative to understand the sources and impact of academic stress in order to derive adequate and efficient intervention strategies. The only task students were expected to undertake was to study and studying was never perceived as stressful. What proved to be stressful was the expectations parents had for their children, which in turn grew into larger burdens that these children could not carry anymore.

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.More than just a bout of the blues, depression isn't a weakness and you can't simply "snap out" of it. Depression may require long-term treatment. But don't get discouraged. Most people with depression feel better with medication, psychotherapy or both. For many people with depression, symptoms usually are severe enough to cause noticeable problems in day-to-day activities, such as work, school, social activities or relationships with others. Some people may feel generally miserable or unhappy without really knowing why.

child labour is often defined as work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical and mental development. mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful to children; and or interferes with their schooling by: depriving them of the opportunity to attend school; obliging them to leave school prematurely; or requiring them to attempt to combine school attendance with excessively long and heavy work.Hazardous child labour, one of the worst forms of child labour. Economic hardship exacts a toll on millions of families worldwide – and in some places, it comes at the price of a child’s safety. Roughly 160 million children were subjected to child labour at the beginning of 2020, with 9 million additional children at risk due to the impact of COVID-19.This accounts for nearly 1 in 10 children worldwide. Almost half of them are in hazardous work that directly endangers their health and moral development.
