i just wanted to say that i was rereading dass on a flight yesterday and it is so beautiful. easily one of my favorite regulus characterizations. i know you haven't posted in awhile, and this isn't pressure to do that, i just wanted to share that it means a lot to me, even ages after i first read it

here’s a little bit of Regulus from the newest chapter 😌(that I’ve been slowly writing on my phone whilst commuting across London) 

 “Alright, let’s go, sunshine.”

James extended his hand towards Regulus and Regulus grabbed it, stepping aside to let James walk into the living room first. The moment they were in, James pulled Regulus in front of him, dropping his hand to hold Regulus by the shoulder instead.

“See, Sirius? He’s all alright,” James said to Sirius, wielding Regulus in front of him like a sort of human shield. “As undefiled as on the day I met him.”

Regulus frowned and looked back at James. “What the hell does that mean?”

His own voice echoed in his ears twice, the echoes slightly out of sync which was how he realised that Sirius asked the exact same question a millisecond after. He twisted his head back to glare at his brother.

“You don’t get to ask that,” he barked at Sirius.

“You probably don’t want to know, darling,” Remus added hurriedly, before Sirius could protest, reaching forward from where he was sitting on the sofa to grab Sirius’ hand and pull him back.

James’ hands slid across Regulus’ chest and pulled him into an embrace.

“Sorry, love. It didn’t mean anything,” he murmured into Regulus’ ear and nuzzled his nose against Regulus’ cheek.
