Hey all,

I feel horrible for posting this link especially with Covid and the holidays passing but not posting this where people could potentially see doesn't feel right.

Just yesterday morning my cousin's house burned down. This has left my grandpa, aunt, cousin, and her daughter completely homeless with nothing and a winter storm is approaching in the upcoming days. My main concern is for my cousin's daughter who is under the age of 12 who has to live with this tragedy.

While it's not required to donate, if anything could be spared to help them out I would be forever grateful. Reblogging is highly encouraged.

I'm not very active on tumblr, but I had to write this somewhere because I don't want to forget this feeling. I thought I would be compleletly broken at the end of stream, but, to be very honest, I'm not. Actually, I don't remember feeling this well in a long time. Everytime I look at the screenshots and the tiny bits of the videos with no context, I remember this whole experience with such fondness and hapiness in my heart. I'm very very glad this all happened and I was there to see it. Unus Annus taught me so much and I'll carry this experience with me forever. Thanks to everyone involved. It was beautiful.

Be mindful of the content you’re putting on your social media accounts. Stop retweeting/reposting violent images and videos of black people dying. Know that content like this, even with trigger warnings included, can be very emotionally disturbing/distressing and yes, even traumatic, for black people navigating the internet right now.

Report any images and videos you see where protestors’ faces are visible/unblurred, particularly in content surrounding the lootings. Don’t retweet or repost these images and videos. This can be a death sentence. 

DONATE, PARTICULARLY TO MINNESOTA-BASED BLACK YOUTH MOVEMENTS / MUTUAL AID FUNDS WHO ARE DOING WORK ON THE GROUND. FOLLOW/BOOST IF YOU CAN’T.
