Can People be Sinless? | The truth about sinless perfection (Psalm 15-22)
Can People be Sinless? | The truth about sinless perfection (Psalm 15-22)
Can People be Sinless? | The truth about sinless perfection (Psalm 15-22) Can people be sinless? This is a really important question in the life of a believer, it represents our viewpoint of God, ourselves, and the truths of the Bible. In fact, the Bible says a lot about sin, repentance, and perfection. David provides gracious truths based on his own life that we can follow. These 8 Psalms were…

Is it a 6yo boy requirement to come home with rocks in his shoes EVERY day?! I mean, between sweeping up crumbs and rocks, there isn’t a whole lot of time left in my day at this point. 🤣 #boyswillbeboys #boymom https://www.instagram.com/p/CPWRbLBMnKa/?utm_medium=tumblr

Sometimes I forget how much my husband loves animals. 🐶🐇🐏I get texts frequently when he goes to the local farm stores “just checking” if we need more chicks. 🐥 I remembered quickly, though, when I opened my Mother’s Day gift that came in the mail. 32 quail eggs! 🐣 You might be thinking we were ready for this but it was only a pipe dream until that day. EXCEPT that the next day’s mail delivery brought another package with twice as many eggs. 🐣🐣Fertilized eggs, mind you!! And now we are the proud owners of 60 some odd quail. We’re quail people now. It’s who we are. This is our life now. #quail #quaileggs #quailsofinstagram #quailpeople #quailfarm https://www.instagram.com/p/CPTlZrPFVw6/?utm_medium=tumblr

Seeking the Lord | How to break through the mundane and activate your relationship (Psalm 8-14)
Seeking the Lord | How to break through the mundane and activate your relationship (Psalm 8-14)
Seeking the Lord | How to break through the mundane and activate your relationship (Psalm 8-14)… Tears were streaming down my face as I sat dejected in my car overlooking the ocean and listening to praise music. I wondered what my next steps were. Deep down, I knew I needed God, but I also knew He had been kept at a distance so I could live my busy life. I was a good person and knew the Bible,…

Is Revenge Ever Justified? | Pleading for vengeance (Psalm 1-7)
Is Revenge Ever Justified? | Pleading for vengeance (Psalm 1-7)
Is Revenge Ever Justified? | Pleading for vengeance (Psalm 1-7)… Have you ever started a new book having heard about it only for it to jump out at you with twists and turns you never expected? The first time I read through the book of Psalms as an adult, I was shocked. All my life, I had thought it to be a book of praises. Man, were my preconceived notions blown out of the water! One of the…

What Question Will You Ask God in Heaven? | Unlocking the powerful secret of His Sovereignty (Job 36-42)
What Question Will You Ask God in Heaven? | Unlocking the powerful secret of His Sovereignty (Job 36-42)
What Question Will You Ask God in Heaven? | Unlocking the powerful secret of His Sovereignty (Job 36-42)… Have you ever thought about Heaven? What it’s like, how the Bible describes it, what the angels look like, the sounds of the continual praises being offered, the throne of God, or God Himself? The sad reality is that only an exclusive few will ever make it there. So, when you see God, are…

Young Wisdom | Can you trust the advice from a younger person? (Job 29-35)
Young Wisdom | Can you trust the advice from a younger person? (Job 29-35)
Young Wisdom | Can you trust the advice from a younger person? (Job 29-35)… Wise beyond his years. A common phrase often offered in respect after a younger person has given good advice or presented a deep thought. Basically, it is young wisdom. While it can be surprising coming from someone younger than you, does that mean it should be automatically discredited? Does that mean it should be…

It's Gold, Baby | From refining to wisdom (Job 22-28)
It’s Gold, Baby | From refining to wisdom (Job 22-28)
It’s Gold, Baby | From refining to wisdom (Job 22-28)… Who wouldn’t love to be handed a nugget of gold? Or what about a huge gold bar? After all, it’s gold, baby! The refining process from raw gold to 99.9% pure gold mimics the refining process for us as Christians. While it represents a beautiful end result, it simultaneously reminds us that even the finest precious metals cannot compare or buy…

Getting to Know Your Bible | Limited observations limit beliefs (Job 15-21)
Getting to Know Your Bible | Limited observations limit beliefs (Job 15-21)
Getting to Know Your Bible | Limited observations limit beliefs (Job 15-21) Getting to know your Bible can seem daunting, overwhelming, even downright scary! If Esther taught you anything, it is that each step toward something holds value and importance. If Job has taught you anything so far, one lesson might be that we need to know our Bibles to understand who we worship! The book of Job is…

Do you Worship God or 'god'? | Stop believing these 5 perceptions and assumptions immediately (Job 8-14)
Do you Worship God or ‘god’? | Stop believing these 5 perceptions and assumptions immediately (Job 8-14)
Do you worship God or ‘god’? | Stop believing these 8 perceptions and assumptions immediately (Job 8-14) It’s the little things that count. Certainly, that is true. It is the little things that can add up over time to destroy a relationship. The little things that someone does for you that you recognize God’s care for you. Or perhaps, it’s the little ways you’ve veered from God to turn him into…

Don't be Fooled by Mimicked Truth | Understanding your enemy is crucial (Job 1-7)
Don’t be Fooled by Mimicked Truth | Understanding your enemy is crucial (Job 1-7)
Don’t be Fooled by Mimicked Truth | Understanding your enemy is crucial (Job 1-7) I am sure we all have that friend, the one who passes on information as fact, with slight embellishments and half-truths. Those relationships often suffer from a lack of trust and mutual respect. Satan is much the same, we often think he will be boldly defying the Lord or the Bible. Instead, he often subtly twists…

What were you born to do? | In an astonishing twist, beauty and boldness transformed the fate of a nation (Esther 4-10)
What were you born to do? | In an astonishing twist, boldness and beauty transformed the fate of a nation (Esther 4-10) Running a food bank? Making laws? Or, perhaps, your future may hold a nation in its hands like Esther? What were you born to do? Never forget, that God placed you exactly where you are today ‘for such a time as this‘! The details surrounding your life may be mundane but they…

For such a time as this | Mundane details can aid in revealing God’s sovereignty (Nehemiah 10 – Esther 3) Have you ever considered that God placed you exactly where you are today ‘for such a time as this’? That phrase easily emanates through our minds when we consider the lofty role Esther played in saving the Jewish people from annihilation. When you look at the characteristics of those around…

Leading and Guiding | Practical mindset, with help from above, emboldens character (Nehemiah 3-9)
Leading and Guiding | Practical mindset, with help from above, emboldens character (Nehemiah 3-9) Saying you’re a Christian is not enough, obedience needs to follow. To claim a position publicly without resolve or change in behavior is not a Biblical mindset (however, it may be one of the steps toward it). Similarly, speaking truth without abandon while showing concern for people comes from…

Christians in Government | The gall of some Old Testament people may surprise you (Ezra 6 – Nehemiah 2)
Christians in Government | The gall of some Old Testament people may surprise you (Ezra 6 – Nehemiah 2) Should Christians be involved in politics? It seems the ‘answer’ to that question can run the entire gamut of possibilities. Comparatively, there is a call to be salt and light to a world of darkness just as there are accusations that those in politics put their faith in man. How do you…

A deeper purpose or meaning? Arguably every season you walk through could be met with the potential for growth and healing; however, it takes a different role when one seeks restoration. First the heart | The secret to a new relationship (2 Chronicles 28-34)
First the heart | The secret to a new relationship (2 Chronicles 28-34) The thrill of the first date often includes butterflies flitting around in your stomach exhibiting both excitement and nervousness. Either think back to the first date you had with your spouse, or imagine a future first date with a future spouse; so many emotions are wrapped up in that short blip of time. The feelings from…
