About the House of Goodwater

(a now former ancient and pureblood house that was removed from the list of pureblood families)

While in her time during Hogwarts, Harmony discovers the truth about her father's side of the family --- the House of Goodwater. Her father was a wizard who came from that pureblood family. However, instead of following family tradition down to a full, he instead ended up marrying a muggle woman (Harmony's mother), which of course made his family furious and they disinherited him. Because of it, the House of Goodwater was also taken off the list of pureblood families. Not long after, when Harmony was 11 and supposed to have gotten her Hogwarts letter with the rest of everyone else her age, it was around the same time her father got Dragonpox and soon died from it. Harmony didn't know anything about her father's side of the family, nor him being a wizard until the day her powers finally bloomed and her mother told her everything. While she is sad that there is a magical part of her family out there that wants nothing to do with her, it still doesn't change the fact --- Harmony is an heir for the House of Goodwater.

The Hufflepuff smiles brightly, nodding her head in agreement. She could remember the day her life changed forever, finally discovering her ability for magic (granted a little too late compared to everyone else her age), but she was still happy it had come to her nonetheless than not at all.

"I'd rather be who I am anyway. I can't ever image a world without magic in it. Even if I'm a late-bloomer, I'm still happy to be here at Hogwarts and to have met all of you!"

It made Harmony feel like she was stepping into her father's shoes and living the life he would have wanted for his daughter. She hoped that wherever he was, that he was watching over her and proud.

However, she pauses, giving her Slytherin friend a knowing look. "Speaking of which...I've never met someone who has gotten themselves into detention as often as you do, Sebastian. I wonder what kind of trouble you get yourself into for it?" She knew at least one of them was covering for her from the librarian, Madam Scribner.

3 Pros & 3 Cons of Dating my Muse

HARMONY GOODWATER

PROS:

Loyal: As a Hufflepuff (and just the kind of person she is), Harmony is assured to be loyal to those who earn it. Once you earn her affections and friendship, she is determined to stick by your side. She will never be caught cheating and is very devoted.

Affectionate: With her naturally bubbly personality, Harmony isn't afraid of PDA. In fact, she often forgets that sometimes it's not welcomed by others. She's the type to hug a friend every time she sees them and if she ends up dating someone, expect that to also involve kisses. She also holds hands and just enjoys being in their company.

Empathetic: She's a people person, but she's also very understanding and feels her (and others) emotions strongly. If you're hurting, she's hurting. If you're happy, she's also happy. It can be both a blessing and a curse.

CONS:

Stubborn: She can be very stubborn and reckless. Despite being a Hufflepuff, if it comes to protecting those she cares about, Harmony will do whatever it takes to keep them safe and stop whoever is causing harm. Even if it involves risking her own life. And when she is like this, it's hard for her to listen to others.

Overly Empathetic: Like I said, it's both a blessing and a curse.

Intense: She can come off this way to some at times mostly because of how passionate and devoted she is, but she proudly wears her heart on her sleeve and cares for others.

Despite being a late transfer Fifth-Year trying to play catch up, she manages to excel at... Care of Magical Creatures Astronomy Defense Against the Dark Arts They are also all her favorites, so that helps!

Which classes or Professor(s) does she despise and why?

There isn't a Professor that she despises. She actually finds them all wonderful and unique in their own ways. However, after learning more about the Keepers and what they did to Isidora, that's all a sensitive subject (even if she's promised to protect the repository.) However, if there is one class she does despise...it's Arithmancy. Numbers are the enemy.

"Oh no, we wouldn't want the truth to get out -- would we?" Although she was still surprised herself to find out that all the rumors about Draco Malfoy were not true. That in fact he could be kind and caring, even to a Hufflepuff Half-Blood such as herself.

Even if Harmony would rather he be truthful to himself and stop hiding that side of himself, she knew it wasn't her call to make. At the very least she would keep his secret for him to return the favor.

Glancing around at all the books and taking a breath in to smell the old pages, she let out a happy sigh before getting to the subject at hand. "I'm rubbish at Arithmancy. Perhaps you have a spell or something to make processing it all into my head easier?"

She could take Care of Magical Beasts and Defense Against the Dark Arts better than cursed numbers.
