To those who are still stuck
Please stop searching someone you knew for a long time in the body of someone you’ve just met. Please stop comparing what you’ve been through to what or where you are now. Everything is impermanent, remember that. Please move forward, even when moving forward means leaving some memories, happy memories behind. Please keep in touch. Keep in touch to those you gave you so much to remember. Keep in touch to those who helped you build who you are now. Please treasure all the memories you had with them--good or bad . Please do not ever delete those photos that keep the moments alive. It’s true that pictures can hold what memories can’t and after a while, when you try to look back, you’ll realize that the memories won’t ever change even when the person in it has already did. Please free your heart from melancholy. It’s good to turn your head back and reminisce everything, but please don’t forget to remember that you are growing. Growth involves changes, big and small changes. Where there is pain, there is growth. You really do not have to free yourself from the happy memories of the past for you to be happy in the present. All you just need to do is to recognize that you’ve been there already. You’ve experienced happiness at the greatest extent. You’ve been at your lowest. And they’re the ones around you in those times. But today is different and tomorrow will no longer be the same as today. Embrace the changes. Appreciate the present. Try to let these new people around you to enter your small circle. It may be hard for now because you are still dealing with separation anxiety, but dear, everything will pass. One day, you will no longer be stuck.

“Don't cling to things, because everything is impermanent... But detachment doesn't mean you don't let the experience penetrate you. On the contrary, you let it penetrate you fully. That's how you are able to leave it...You're afraid of the pain, you're afraid of the grief... But by throwing yourself into these emotions, by allowing yourself to dive in, all the way, over your head even, you experience them fully and completely. You know what pain is. You know what love is. "All right. I have experienced that emotion. I recognize that emotion. Now I need to detach from that emotion for a moment.” ― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie

“We've got a sort of brainwashing going on in our country, Morrie sighed. Do you know how they brainwash people? They repeat something over and over. And that's what we do in this country. Owning things is good. More money is good. More property is good. More commercialism is good. More is good. More is good. We repeat it--and have it repeated to us--over and over until nobody bothers to even think otherwise. The average person is so fogged up by all of this, he has no perspective on what's really important anymore. Wherever I went in my life, I met people wanting to gobble up something new. Gobble up a new car. Gobble up a new piece of property. Gobble up the latest toy. And then they wanted to tell you about it. 'Guess what I got? Guess what I got?' You know how I interpreted that? These were people so hungry for love that they were accepting substitutes. They were embracing material things and expecting a sort of hug back. But it never works. You can't substitute material things for love or for gentleness or for tenderness or for a sense of comradeship. Money is not a substitute for tenderness, and power is not a substitute for tenderness. I can tell you, as I'm sitting here dying, when you most need it, neither money nor power will give you the feeling you're looking for, no matter how much of them you have.” ― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie

Do a little better than last time
My best friend told me to do this before an exam. Tell yourself this everytime you do something, keep making yourself better and better. Be the greatest you can be. (via nakedly)

12:24 AM 💭
Imagine how poweful a writer is that nothing can stop him, even a terminal disease that not even dark nights can stop him from freeing his feelings words of a writer are for lifetime cannot be forgotten for sometime imagine every line being written wasting the ink of his pen once a writer writes the whole world smiles but unfortunately, the writer himself cries because inside, he's dying for all the tries At night, when people are asleep he's awake and unafraid of the creep for him, nights are morning with thoughts in his mind, flashly entering Sun sets, sun rises but for writers, days are just another stress because what makes them shine is not light but darkness
