Thanks for a magical Saturday night everyone. It’s been a great year of hometown shows with some of my dearest pals. Thanks to The Chapin Sisters, Annie Nero and Josh Kaufman, Ed Romanoff, Marah for sharing some great nights this year! Thanks to my long-time homes — the venues of Mercury Lounge (Happy 25th!), Pete's Candy Store (Happy 20th!), and Rockwood Music Hall (Happy 15th!). RIP The Living Room. This Indigenous Peoples’ Day I’m thinking of the Pow Wow I was honored to attend last year. The Lenni Lenape people are the Native Americans whose tribe called NYC home for centuries before they were forced away. They gave Manhattan its name. Last year I went to the first pow-wow of Lenni Lenape people in Manhattan in over 400 years. It was beautiful and moving.
