Phoenix Wright, who believed in her so thoroughly he ate a poisoned glass bottle for her? Phoenix Wright, who even after turnabout memories couldn't bring himself to believe that the girl on the stand was the same one he knew? Phoenix Wright, who was so deeply and thoroughly shaken by that one breach of trust that years later he declares that poisoning and betrayal are the only 2 things he'll never forgive? Phoenix Wright, who agreed to climb a mountain and sleep in the freezing cold because he saw a girl in the newspaper that looked like his ex girlfriend and was so desperate for some form of closure even after all that time that he had to meet her, just to make sure? Phoenix Wright who even after all that time, even not knowing who Iris really was, still intrinsically believed in her enough that he swore to defend her to the last? Phoenix Wright who, upon learning the truth, told Iris in his relief that she really was the person he always believed she was? The guy whose defining trait is his faith in other people even to the detriment of himself and others? I'm supposed to believe that, despite all that, he never really loved her in the first place? Sure. Whatever I guess. I don't even know anymore
