why do cows love to lick people? every time i've encountered a cow it has attempted to lick me. it's adorable, im not complaining, i've just found myself wondering why they do what they do.

tongues are basically the cow's hand, its a super handy muscle n its how they like to explore the world!!!!!!!!!! so a lot of the time they will lick u bc theyre curious :)

but cows also lick to maintain social bonds, so they can also be sayin 'hi! i like you!'

i think one of the main issues with "dating culture" in total is that the actual percentage of humans who want or need to pair bond or reproduce is a lot lower than we think it is and this creates conflict from dumping an enormous amount of resources into pursuing unsatisfactory goals, having an identity crisis when yet another relationship or partner is boring or disappointing, going through a destructive breakup and resource partition, and then being coerced into starting over from the beginning and just doing this over and over until we die. i don't think relationships and love and romantic attachment are fake I just think a lot of people don't actually need or want them who have been convinced otherwise

having grown up doing community theatre and then some professional shows, i genuinely believe from the very bottom of my heart it is crucial that any human with the desire to perform on a stage gets the chance as many times as they like. singing and dancing are innate to humanity yet we've made it inaccessible to all but the select few we deem "good enough" to tolerate. i think people with no pitch and no rhythm and who can't remember their lines should get to be in musicals and plays and choirs and i mean that.

and community performing arts groups & venues shouldn't have to rely on ticket sales to fund their programs. they should be paid for by taxes and freed to focus solely on engaging & enriching the communities in which they exist.
