This is my Grandad from my Mum’s side. He died when she was 10 so these photos must have been taken in the very early 1950s on a family farm in Shropshire. Amazing gourmet food at the best restaurant in Barcelona. Tomato salad with celery ice cream; horse mackerel and carrot; chestnut mushroom and onion, cod with spinach and black garlic alioli; octopus, pork belly and Trinxat; rice with black pudding and trumpet mushrooms; pork ribs, black pea and fennel; apple and toffee deconstructed tart tatin; almond, cinnamon and lemon coulant. The amazing Little Nan’s Bar in Catford recently had an eviction notice served by Lewisham Council stating it was unsuitable for the space in the Broadway. The bar has spent a lot of time and money customising the space and it is a little oasis for people from all over the community both during the evenings and also the day.
