I've just had the biggest realisation on Rowan/Aelin/Lyria and Elain/Lucien/Azriel parallels.

So you've probably heard that Lyria and Rowan's bond was faked by Maeve. E/riels love to apply this parallel to Elucien bond also being fake because Azriel questioned it in his BC.

But hear me out! The context is very important and apparently E/riels left it out in this case too.

Let's first look at how similar Lyria and Elain are described:

"A different sort of strength"

Let's now look at the context.

Rowan thinks about Lyria's strength "not what he might have chosen for himself".

What do we know about Rowan? He's a warrior who's mate is a warrior, an assassin. A brutal sort of strength.

Now let's move to Elain.

Who's the warrior here in ACOTAR raising the question of fake bond?

Azriel.

Elain and Azriel parallel Lyria and Rowan here. Not Elain and Lucien. Lucien is a courtier, he's absolutely compatible with Elain's "sort of strength"

Elain was also afraid of Illyrian trio when they visited mortal lands. As Lyria was first afraid of Rowan.

Now who's a "warrior strength" for Azriel? Who wasn't afraid of him?
