why everyone won’t shift.

no.
“but if they really want they’ll eventually—“
no.
before you pick up your pitchforks & form an angry mob in the comments, hear me out.
first & foremost. what is a want ? a want is something you desire. but not every want is desired. for example, ive been thinking of getting a cat once i move out of my parents house. i want the animal & have the funds for it. when i dig deeper in my desire, i see all the vet trips, the having to feed it & take care of it & i realized that i don’t actually want the cat at the moment. im not ready to make that drastic of a change in my life. on the surface, id like one but i don’t want to take on the responsibility for taking care of a pet at the moment.
i like the idea of getting a cat (shifting) — but when the actual time comes to get a cat (actually shift), i don’t actually want a new pet at the moment (to create that big of a change because i am comfortable with my situation & not mentally prepared / mature enough).
i made a post about comfort already. what previously spoke about can tie into this.
if you don’t actually want something & just like fantasizing about it, that’s okay. but fantasy & imagination needs to be backed by intention. you need intention & effort put into your shifting attempts. ive seen so so many people say “i tried to shift” & all they do is say “i said one affirmation & rolled over & went to sleep & hoped i would wake up in my dr.”
you could say a million affirmations & hope you will wake up in your dr & not shift. you know why ? hope. it’s not hoping you will shift — it’s that internal knowing. it’s letting go fully of the comfort & all you know of this life to go to another & a lot of people don’t want to do that even if they say they do. again, they like the idea of shifting, but aren’t stopping to consider that you’re actually living it.
this isn’t a bad thing. if you actually have come to the conclusion that you don’t want to shift & are in the community — that’s okay. if you’re just interested in the science or content for the subject & that’s why you’ve stumbled across this blog, i don’t have an issue with that.
when i say not everyone will shift, i mean that not everyone wants to shift in the first place despite what they may say. what they want is an escape. time & time again i see comments on tiktok say “i want to get out of this reality”. that statement has nothing to do with wanting to shift — it’s wanting to get out of the situation you are in. you do not have to shift to get out of your current situation. if you live with family or are younger, it’s different, i understand.
if you’re someone who thinks “when i shift, ill be happy.” no no no. happiness comes from within you. while the 3d can bring you momentarily happiness, that only lasts so long. if you don’t have internal happiness & self love those feelings won’t last. shifting — in my option — can sometimes be putting a bandaid on a bigger issue & that’s loneliness & a yearning for another life. you can solve both of those right here at anytime.
lastly, shifting takes effort despite what you may think. “but such and such shifted without trying”. cool, that’s them. but have you ? if you’re reading this im going so safely assume at least a handful of you are saying “no” internally. when you want something you have to work for it. weather that be manifestation or putting yourself first. if you wake up & think “i didn’t shift” or “i hate this world it’s sucks” guess what ?? you’re focusing on the negative. what you pay attention to & give your energy to expands because you’re shifting awareness to it. you make up your thoughts & control them, thus affecting the 3d.
im not saying you can’t shift with negative mindsets or anything. im saying confidence helps a ton. how are you going to believe other people can shift when you can’t even extend that belief to yourself ? you’re making it much, much harder for yourself. doing healing work, finding the root cause of why you want to shift (for love, sense or belonging, etc.) & finding that here first, may alleviate the desperation to shift. when you have a sense of knowing, there’s nothing to be desperate about because whatever happens, you know the outcome already.

“i can’t shift. what should i do about it?”
you just admitted that you cannot shift, then asked how you can shift. those are two conflicting statements. if you don’t know how to shift — your body & what works / doesn’t work for you — how is somebody else, a stranger, supposed to know that ? you know yourself best. you are the only one who can help yourself.

“i’ve been trying to shift & no method or routine works for me.”
this all boils down to something & that is the reliance on other people to tell you how to shift. i can give you everything that helps me; my books, my affirmations, my subliminals but at the end of the day that’s what helps me. information, that i have found through trial & error. everyone is different & not everything will help everyone. this is why not getting your heart set on one method or one way to do something is essential.

during the peak of misinformation on shiftok, I don’t believe a lot of the misinformation was actual misinformation. people asked how to shift & people told them how they shifted & somewhere along they got misconstrued as a “how to” guide. if something helps you or doesn’t , it’s not misinformation. it’s a different way of doing things. think like doing math, there’s multiple ways to find the answer. people with learning disabilities (like myself) sometimes have to go the extra mile to have things make sense in our minds because not every mind is the same.
things take time, especially to perfect a craft. if you’re someone who draws or paints, you have to know the techniques & where to shade & where light hits the subject at certain points. if you’re someone who works out, you have to use certain equipment maybe or get into a habit of going to the gym. both of those take time & discipline. you don’t just pick up a pencil once & become one of the greats or walk on the treadmill for two minutes & instantly meet your desired result. it’s a routine.
no, you don’t have to have a routine but it’s beneficial. it can help hey you into a mindset, it can aid in your self confidence. if you’re confident, you will perform better. it gets you into a habit of something & making a habit out of something is the first step in being intentional & getting your mind & body into a mindset.

how just being in our cr can hinder our ability to shift.

“you think that the comfortable familiar keeps you protected but all of does is keep you stagnate.”
ive never seen anyone speak about this but id like to touch on it. i was going to throw this onto the bottom of another tumblr post i was planning on making but — although short — it’s an important thing to consider.
comfort is designed to obviously, keep you comfortable. even if you want to get out of a situation or change apart of your life, you may struggle to do so because that change isn’t predictable. comfort isn’t just happiness, it’s sadness or destructive behaviors because your used to it.
you are used to this reality. you can script anything, watch all the movies, know all the lore, read about your favorite characters but you will never fully know what it’s like to shift to a specific place, until after you’ve already done it. abandoning our comfort to better ourselves or change circumstances is that hardest things we can do — shifting or bettering our current reality. even if you want to shift, it’s a change in environment & in many cases leaving everything you know.
human beings are hardwired to search for comfort & of that comfort is already found, it will make it that much harder to leave it. it keeps you the same; in the same reality, at the same job, the same toxic partner. in the quote i mentioned above from this article here, mentions keeping you protected & away from suffering. while our brain sees it as a good thing, this comfort can trap you because your brain is protecting you.
if we take this within the content of shifting to a place like supernatural, our brains could be sensing a threat level & on a deeper level stopping us from achieving our desires because they have the probability of hurting us. of course, in this specific example, I have no proof. the proof I do have is the knowledge that our brains try to protect us & shield is from uncomfortable situations.

why you should listen to anti-shifters.

“shifting isn’t real”
♡ by saying “shifting isn’t real” it pushes you to create arguments & conjure up points to combat that statement. but how the statement is combatted is key here. when you have the deep knowledge to back up claims & don’t say things like “the shifting documents” or “i did it & therefore I know it’s real”. the point isn’t to make people who don’t believe in shifting, believe in it. it’s to take a “demotivating” statement & use it as a gateway to learn about what you believe in further. use this as an opportunity to go do some outside research, prove them wrong even if you don’t tell them about your findings.
& I’ve seen anti-shifters say if themselves; “i think shifting is lucid dreaming” or “I think shifting is maladaptive daydreaming”. they do think shifting is something, proving themselves wrong.

“people who shift are mentally ill”
♡ they don’t know you, who are they to cast that kind of assumption on you ? would they do that to other beliefs ? other religions or practices ? i doubt it. this isn’t said out of concern, it’s an insult to your character & what you’ve invested time in. take this statement as a time to check in with yourself & how you view shifting. are you neglecting parts of your life in hopes that you’ll shift the next morning ? is “not being able to shift” making you depressed ? try taking a step back from it. shifting won’t disappear or no longer be apart of your life. you can always put it down & pick it back up at a later date.

do you see what I’m getting at ? everything is how you look at it. take comments that are ill intended & meant to “catch” you & take it to assess yourself & your journey.
or just block them. protect your peace if needed.

hi im rinn ! ive been in the shifting community for a little over four years & started my shiftok account last july.
in addition to my this blog & my tiktok ive been making / using subliminals since 2016. i had an old subliminal channel but it was removed for s3lf harm, wrongfully :(

ive mini shifted twice; opened my eyes & was fully conscious in my dr. also personally don’t really care what shifting is. multiverse, consciousness, lucid dreaming, astral projection, a deeper state of meditation — im not tied to one idea or theory. though, I do lean towards the consciousness theory a bit more.

outside of shifting, im a 22 year old who is about to graduate college. i love fashion. i collect vintage clothing pieces. my favorite is probably vintage lingerie. & i love horror / scary content. not so much movies as i don’t watch a ton but i watch a lot of youtubers who cover that kind of content.

I just unlocked a memory of my desired reality!!
I'm actually so excited rn
A video popped up on my TikTok feed that was a shifting subliminal, and so I closed my eyes and listened to it and I was getting really intense symptoms, I could literally feel my heart beating and stuff
And then I suddenly became aware of something really vividly, it was me and my DR s/o swinging on a swing set in the snow, and I really vividly imagined her laughing, and I remember she was making fun of me and I grabbed the chains to her swing and spun her around really fast
Idk how to describe it, but it was so amazing!! I really felt the emotions of the moment. I feel like I'm getting really close to my DR. I also listened to some subliminals for channeling my DR S/o before that, so maybe those helped too lol

why you should do your own research.

“you have to drink water.”
“you have to affirm through the day.”
“you have to think positive.”
“you have to lay in starfish position.”
“you cannot move.”
“you have to finish your homework.”
“you have to clean your room.”
you don’t have to do anything to shift or manifest. while these may be helpful for some people & can make certain people feel more “likely” to shift to their desired reality by cutting out distractions or “to-do lists”, there is no shifting step by step guide.
♡ why this is important ?
when learning, once you’ve learned something “wrong” it’s hard to unlearn incorrect practice & rewrite what you know to be true / false. those “wrong” thoughts can become a subconscious belief & you may not realize how these thoughts can hold you back.
if you have questions, don’t press that tiktok search ! don’t let someone tell you something. it’s 10x more satisfying & motivating to come across something on your own — outside of tiktok — because that was you putting action into your manifestations. it wasn’t someone else having an influence on your journey, it was you consciously searching for something & having it resonate & not having the algorithm feed something to you. it all comes down to choice & feeding your own curiosity.
♡ doing your own research vs validating predetermined belies.
if you’ve heard someone on tiktok that you now believe, will probably go looking for information that supports your existing thoughts — maybe even if you think it’s wrong. lead with an unbiased & open mind. you can learn a lot “from the other side”. when i say research i mean documents, studies, professional experiments that have been conducted, not random people on reddit , tumblr or tiktok. while these can be helpful, a lot of these are parroting others that may not be 100% true , thus breeding misinformation. you have to be very careful on who you can trust & believe. im specifically speaking to shiftok because — let’s face it — money can be made. if a more “validating & exciting” argument can be made for it that people want to hear, it will acquire more revenue. im not staying making money is bad, just be aware of that kind of stuff. people can twist words & leave out critical information to fit a narrative. it’s better to go straight to the study / source. it’s just more satisfying to see an article from 1988 proving your suspicions then a random girl on your fyp, you know ?
ps. i want to note science cannot prove everything as the term “shifting” — when it comes to what you may believe shifting to be — is a relatively new term from what I’ve seen. but !! it helps definitively when you have your beliefs backed by something. having that little bit of proof, that validation, can do wonders for some people. okay ! bye ! 🤍
