Turns out my first Anastasia AU picture also unintentionally doubles as a kind of roceit picture I guess, so like roceit shippers come get y’all juice.

In the actual AU though, Deceit was  also a prince at the ball when Roman’s family was attacked, and was one of the elite that escaped, helping Roman and Remus get out of the palace before it was overrun. Roman barely remembers him, which is one of the reasons his eyes are closed. The moment Roman opens his eyes he disappears in the dance.
