Phil smiled. At least Jon knew where he was coming from. The way in which he seemed so light hearted about everything was somewhat calming. He seems like the type to stay stony faced and not react when a teacher shouts at him. You could tell him that the bus was about to crash, and he'd probably just shrug and accept it. Well, maybe something less severe. However, it made Phil start to feel at ease. "No, not really," He offered another smile. "I'm kinda shy."

He looked round and the rest of the kids on the bus, and just hated the fact that he was different to every one of them. Even Jon, but at least he was talking to him. He was thankful for the advice too. It couldn't be that hard to find, Phil assumed that the office would just be there at the entrance. "Thanks. Hey, maybe." Phil liked the thought of that. He didn't wanna just hang onto Jon like he had no friends, but he liked the idea of having someone to sit with maybe.

Punk returned a little later with a takeout box full of pancakes, and nudged Jeff gently. Is he still awake?

Punk smiled sweetly, not noticing that his kinder side was starting to show. “I’ll go get you something.”

"I don't need friends." Phil answered, before realising how much of a dick he sounded. He didn't really care what others thought of him, but at the same time he didn't want to be hated by the first person he met. Instead, he tried to erase his error by smiling at Jon. "My name's Phil. I just started at this school." Jon seemed like the kind of guy that was good fun to talk to, but getting on his bad side would be the last thing Phil wanted to do. Friendly, but maybe a little furious when he wanted to be.

Maybe it was the single gold earring, or the eccentric smile he flashed every so often Maybe how his eyes lit up in an almost insane manner when he got excited. Something about him was slightly off...slightly...unstable. Still, he seemed cool, and Phil didn't really want to be all alone like every other school he'd been at.

Maybe he shouldn't just focus on himself. Maybe he should make conversation for once, instead of making it awkward for everybody else. "Uh.. I still don't know what classes I'm in."

Phil was in a world of his own, until his random musings were interrupted by a kid who'd just sat next to him. "What?-Oh" He noticed he was wearing the same outfit as him. Well, he had no excuse to skip now, somebody already knew he was going to school so his Aunt would find out eventually. "Hey." He tried to satisfy the teen with a polite, yet monotone answer, and diverted his attention back to the window, or the floor. Anywhere other than the people on the bus. It was starting to crowd up a little now, and with that came a feeling of dread. Too many people on the bus. He fiddled nervously with his lip piercing, trying to ignore the boy next to him. He didn't mean to be rude, he just wasn't good around strangers.

High school AU (Punk and Dean)

BEEP BEEP “Ugh, fuck.” Phil’s eyes opened groggily, and he immediately wished he could go back to sleep again. Today was his first day at the new school, and he couldn’t think of anything worse. Moving to another city was punishment enough, but a whole new school of people? He couldn’t face it.

Still, if his Aunt knew he had any intention of skipping, he’d be in big trouble. Repressing any kind of emotions he had, Phil pulled on his pristine uniform and left the house without a word. Or any breakfast. His stomach rumbled noticeably on the bus, causing a few stares in his direction. Lowering his gaze to the floor, he avoided all eye contact with anybody. Consequently, he didn’t notice that a kid his age had just gotten on the bus wearing the same uniform as him. eccentriccincinnatiscrapper
