My asexuality is strongly influenced by being nonhuman.

The fact I am a vague amalgamation of different species sometimes makes me feel as though I am my own species unrelated to any other — this leaves me with a sense of “reproductive isolation” where there is no other person I have the capacity to feel sexual attraction towards. It simply does not compute to me.

There’s also that sense of sex with human or pseudo-human anatomy seems far too messy to be worth the effort, especially compared to a cloacal kiss.

That said, I’ve recently realised (or rather, accepted) that I’m pretty sex-favourable. The idea of doing things does seem appealing, entirely unrelated to any individual/s it’s done with. I think a part of this is influenced by common depictions of non-human animals; regardless of any scientific bases (or lack thereof), I identify with the reputation animals have almost as much as I am one.
