people realising an actor is in two things, after the actor announced a role they got, is NOT people leaking the name of the actor or doxxing them, or even anything wrong or bad in the first place.
And no, Infold won't replace an actor just because people have ears.
Imagine a job as an ACTOR where you will get fired the second someone recognized you in another role. Do you think Infold holds this dude responsible for people recognising his voice? Do you think Infold expected him to never take another role so no one will recognise him? Of course not. It is silly to think that.

LADS fandom stop harassing people pointing out the bloody obvious - challenge impossible
Do you really think Sylus' VA didn't realise he was revealing himself by making that post saying he is voicing Hugo Vlad?
People knew the two characters were voiced by the same man since the very first appearance of the character. And they also already named him then, because he has been in other projects as well, and now he's confirmed it.
There is no way in hell that man didn't realise he was revealing himself as Sylus' VA by revealing himself as Hugo Vlad:
a. ZZZ is NOT a small little indie game no one pays attention to
b. speculation was everywhere already
c. these two HUGE gacha games will inevitably have a lot of overlap in players.
So seeing LADS fans harass people on twitter who point out the bloody obvious is insane behaviour.
If he'd wanted to stay anonymous, he wouldn't have revealed his role as Hugo Vlad, because there is no way in hell he didn't know people realised Hugo and Sylus are voiced by the same man.
And the faux concern about any of the VA being replaced the second people figure out who they are... come one now. The inciddent you're all referring to was brought on by a political statement by the VA (which is disgusting behaviour by the company but that's not the point here), NOT because people knew their name. Now I'm sure if Sylus' VA comes out and says he is Sylus, he could be in trouble. BUT he won't be in trouble just because people aren't deaf and can tell when they hear the same voice voice another character.
And hell, I get why he'd reveal himself as Hugo, not even because getting fan recognition of his work as Hugo must be nice, but because it's kinda difficult to built your career when your biggest role has to stay anonymous.
(If knowing who the guy behind the voice is ruins the game for you, well, that's on you. No one should have to cater their behaviour to keep your delulu in tact.)
I just hope people can stop being all self-rightous when going after people just saying they love the dude's work ON HIS OWN THREAD, simply because they need to have a target to inflict their misary on.

At this point Sylus is just begging MC to remember everything that happened between them before. She already remembered a snippit, so there's hope.
Why else would he take her to a dragon grave and refer to himself as a dragon? He's just hoping that something will click in her memory and she'll remember who they both were to each other.

Someone stop me from reading certain takes on the different translations of Love and Deepspace.
Some people really seem to think translating a story - art - is no different from translating a technical manual.
Getting angry that certain translations aren't literal is insane. There is no such thing when it comes to any translation, but especially when translating a story. Something will always be lost and something will always be added, and the further apart two languages are from each other, the more drastic the changes will (have to) be.
Just think about all those posts where someone has literally translated an idiom from their language to show how funny that is. If you want to convey the meaning, or what someone who is fluent in the language *feels* when using that idiom, you are going to have to be creative and choose between either keeping as much of the literal meaning or the feeling it provokes. ALL translation is like that.
And 99% of the complaints about the translations of the different cards are just people not willing to accept that there will never be a one to one translation. Even if Infold - for instance - kept a more literal translation for Caleb's role in relation to MC, it still would not make the story the same experience for someone reading in CN with all the cultural context they grew up with, as someone reading in English or CN or any other of the language, with a differenct cultural background.
Frankly, I think the strongest way Infold could've translated Caleb and MC's relationship was to have them call each other 'twin', which is something romantic partners in the English speaking world do, that is slightly offputting, that symbolises how close they are and still leaves enough room for a romance. And would have the same tension - even though I think that tension is there right now as well - because if you start out being raised with someone you call your twin because you feel so connected to them in every way, of course it is going to be a bit forbidden to make that romantic. In your own eyes as well as the people around you.
But again, to me the same tension is there already and I understand that it was an impossible task to translate it in a way that kept every nuance of the story, because that is what translating is. And they had to do that for everyone reading in English, not just people who are on the internet or interested enough in other cultures to understand the context of a specific term they have probably never seen anyone use before.
And same thing goes for that Sylus 'mistranslations' document. I don't believe the author is a professional translator, because the critique is just not right. In the whole thing I saw maybe one or two lines I would've sent back, the rest was fine.

Why the weirdness in Severance does not work in season 2
Season 1 of Severance was so good. The way it used surrealism to satarize corporate life and how it uses elements similar to religion to 'keep people in check' was well thought out and executed.
Season 2 seems to have looked at all that and thought 'guess the show is about WeiRD stuff happening!' With no sense of what it wants to say or direction of what we put on the screen.
It really feels like they just wrote down all the ideas they thought of possibly doing and then just decided to do it all, rather than trim down the fat.
There's a lot of other things I think were much weaker in season 2, but this is one thing I just kept going back to.

Nightly Rendezvous WAS sylus/mc first kiss.
at least to me.
I know a lot of people feel it couldn't have been their first kiss because of how steamy the night gets, but to me it makes perfect sense that after all that buildup, all that basically being head over heels in a relationship but not really, all the sexual tension between them, that the first kiss immediately leads to more.
Basically, MC finally going for the kiss, broke the dam and neither of them was going to stop at just s kiss.
It also makes sense that the first kiss would come in a similar situation as razors edge, where mc realises she doesn't want Sylus to disappear from her life.

they cut out all opportunities to get to know the companions and replaced them with banter. And because these banters are also mostly what you hear when spying on your companions in the Lighthouse, it doesn't seem that much suddenly.
Not to mention how most of it is so generic and pointless it could've been written by an intern they forgot to tell they were writing for a DA game.

I can tell that this game was made under a pretty severe dialogue budget just by playing. I know from dev Q&As over the years that having a word limit for the writers is a thing, voiced dialogue is expensive and not everything can or should make the final cut. people overreacted to this knowledge, but it's like how movies can't be five hours long. it would cost too much and people can't sit for that long; the word budget is fine and normal. so I know both that the dialogue budget exists and from various comments from ex-bioware employees that the writers/writing at bioware were gradually being resented and cut down because they were viewed as an annoying and unnecessary expense.
knowing both those things it's obviously the explanation for why companions don't cut in with their opinions during dialogue anymore, or why we seem to skip entire scenes that should be in the game (no party reunion post-fade prison rescue or explanation solas using blood magic to make rook think varric is alive), or just skipping proper intros into meeting factions, we show up and are suddenly talking to the boss. the writing and dialogue and cutscenes have been slashed to the bare minimum to cut costs, somehow viewed as unnecessary from a studio known for quality writing. stupid but fine whatever and not something the writers would have had control over.
but all that being said, why the fuck is this a thing

why the fuck does veilguard have the most party banter in the base game of any dragon age game to date????? I love companion banter as much as the next guy, but it should not have been a priority. If things were getting slashed left and right, this is not where you should have been allocating time and money. I know that it's cheaper since no animations, but the game would have been better with zero banter and an extra hour of cutscenes or something. banter is cool and serves the dual purpose of additional character development as well as world-building, but it's optional content people may not even see, moreso in this game because we only get two companions at once. so you gave us almost six hours of dialogue that people MAYBE see half of in standard playthrough. and for what?? so taash can tell bellara that it's okay the lords are pirates that don't steal anything??? fuck you

I'm not sure how controversial this take is, but I honestly didn't feel that I was given enough reason to understand Solas tearing down the Veil as an objectively bad thing. Veilguard paints Solas as being motivated by grief and regret rather than rationality, sure, but that doesn't actually explain what's wrong with the plan. Solas's reasons being bad doesn't discredit the plan. People can do the right thing for the wrong reasons. What would be the material consequences of tearing down the Veil? Why would it be worse than the current state of Thedas? This was what I was missing.
We're told that people will die, sure. But why? The only concrete negative consequence of tearing down the Veil that is directly implied is that the shock of being reintegrated with the Waking World will cause many spirits to turn into demons and kill people. That's not good, obviously. But I'm going to be honest: the Veil as it is is unstable as hell. It gets thinned all the time and sometimes tears just because. It's also not native to the world. While something being unnatural doesn't necessarily make it bad, I could buy that removing this unnatural construct (that's already unstable) and causing short term damage could potentially be worth it in the long run.
But I both wanted and expected to be shown why Solas was definitely wrong. I was expecting to be shown why it absolutely would not be worth it. And I'm really disappointed that I left the game still wondering if keeping the Veil up was a good idea or not.
I think this is a side effect of Veilguard dumbing down Solas's motivations. I always assumed that he was being rational but looking at it the wrong way. But no, apparently he was being completely irrational. He was motivated by grief and regret and nothing else, at least nothing that the game cares to explore. And that's not a good enough explanation for why his plan is bad! Again, he could potentially be doing a good thing for the wrong reasons. The game didn't do enough to rule out that possiblity for me. And I really wish it did.

Pretty sure only the stuff after the point of no return was specifically written for Veilguard
by which I mean the version of Veilguard we got. It really feels like everything before that was 90% the live service version of Dragon Age and when EA finally smartened up and said to Bioware it doesn't have to be that, only the stuff after the point of no return was written specifically for this version of Veilguard.
I'm sure they added some smaller things (like the city choice and the major, based on feedback from the fan council), but the vast majority is what they did for the live service version.
