us Austen fans are always like *wistful sigh* where's my Mr Darcy? But you wanna know where the fuck he is????? You wanNA FUCKING KNOW? he's at home. avoiding all social situations, watching gossip girl with Georgiana and probably still recovering that time two weeks ago when the cashier said 'have a nice day' and he said 'no I'm fine thanks'. Where else would he fucking be?

Linny.
so i ship Linny (luna lovegood x ginny weasley). it was my first ship and its in my profile. here is why i love it. also the main reason I’m doing this is because any time i think about it my mind needs to repeat the same speech in my head again and again and I’m hoping this will stop it. i know no one gives fuck. this is for me.
So Ginny Weasely has a case of hating most other girls, in the movies especially. but, in the books, she and Luna were close. She stood up for her, Luna thought kindly of her, and they cared about each other. this is canon. also, the longer Ginny and Luna were close, the closer Ginny became with other girls. She became closer with Hermione, Fleur (i think) and obviously, Luna. This shows that Luna is bringing out the kinder parts of Ginny.
Ginny spending more time with Luna also allows Ginny to experience being more carefree. Also, I think that Luna starts to stand up for herself and spending more time with Ginny. i think. Luna has always been brave, but she is now standing up for herself. i think that happened.
not to mention the fact that they are so fuking cute. seriously. very cute. and major sapphic vibes from both of them.
obviously ik that jkr would never make this canon, but what I’m trying to point out is that if it where to be canon, it would be cool :)

Crier is peak dumbass lesbian representation, actually. She was designed to be extremely intelligent, but unfortunately all her brain cells are occupied by thinking about Ayla at all times, so she has never fucking had a good idea at all ever in her life.

Everyday Magic for the Cosmic Witch
Here are some cosmic and celestial things you can work into your everyday life to make it a little more magical. You do not need to be a cosmic witch to practice these!
Wear clothing and accessories with symbols of space and the stars. Allow your appearance to remind yourself and everyone of your connection to the cosmos.
Use a galaxy bath bomb. There are many shops online that sell glittery bath bombs that make your tub look like the night sky.
Decorate your room with fairy lights. Let the small dots of light remind you of the stars even when you are indoors.
Check your horoscope every day. Turn to the stars for guidance.
Put your bed near a window so at night you can gaze at the stars and the moon.
Notice when the moon is out during the day and remember that she is surrounded by stars even if you cannot see them.
Wear blue goldstone jewelry or keep a blue goldstone in your pocket to remind you of the stars.
Decorate your altar with stars. You can use beads or charms or little bottles of glitter.
Study the constellations during the day and see if you can find them at night. Keep up to date on what constellations are visible at the current time of year.
Keep notes on the moon phases and how they affect your day. You might notice you have more energy on full moons or you feel more anxious when it is waning. See how you are connected with the moon.
Make moon water nightly and drink it in the morning to prepare yourself for the day.
Buy moon shaped crystals and use them for your altar or for meditation.
Meditate with selenite to connect to the moon and access your higher self.
Use labradorite for warding and protection. It is a crystal that can harness the energy of the moon to protect you and your home.
To purify things using lunar energy, use opal. Place an opal next to your water at night to make it moon water. Opalite is a cheaper alternative but know that it is a manmade stone.

📚Some Things To Do As A Student Witch📚
Rather than being angry and harboring negative energy over gatekeeping and exclusion in witchcraft, I have decided to make a list of things that you can likely do as a student witch in college, along with some things to maybe stay away from (if you so choose; these are mere suggestions to follow only if you’re feeling extra secretive like me). These also could help a closeted witch who lives with strict parents, judgmental roommates, or in otherwise restrictive housing.
*DISCLAIMER*: these may not all apply, and I’m not an expert! I hope they work for you, but everyone’s situation is different. If you have suggestions, or if I’ve said something inaccurate, please let me know! 💖
Potpourris, and essential oils are excellent for dispersing aromas and energies
Wax melts are a perfectly good substitute for candles when you’re not allowed to have open flames. If you can’t have hot plates, battery candles can work in a pinch, but are less effective and should be supplemented with other methods of charging and powering spells and rituals
Setting out plants is ALWAYS a good thing, and since being cottagecore is trendy it’s super common and not sus at ALL
Get a cheapo lockbox for tarot cards, crystals, dice (for divination!), a mini notepad grimoire, and other small items
SPEAKING OF COTTAGECORE If you have access to a kitchen with an oven, take up baking as a kitchen witch activity. There are tons of recipes here on tumblr!
Find a private place outside if possible, or a quiet, typically unoccupied study space to perform rituals, readings, or other witchy activities! (Bonus points if your outdoor space is near nature!)
Stir intentions into your tea, coffee, or other drink of choice
Many things are still easy to do, such as sigils and meditation!
Since you probably don’t have a bath, consider using bar soaps or scrubs with natural ingredients that you would use in a ritual bath, like rose petals or salts.
Most of all, do not do anything you’re not comfortable doing, especially if you believe it might put you or others at risk. You’re still a real witch, even if you stay away from divination or candles or putting up sigils or smoke cleanses. I promise, you’re still a valid witch.
As always, be extra careful when dealing with open flames, and it might be best to just avoid them completely. It’s not just a “follow the rules” thing, you could potentially set off fire safety mechanisms in the building. Some buildings have sprinkler systems that can’t be turned off, which could cause tons of damage to your dorm-mates’ things. That’s not even considering the fact that it could set off an unnecessary call to emergency services. These are extreme examples, and can probably be avoided with some trickery, but if you’re inexperienced I’d just advise you to stay away.
Be conscious of your roommate(s), and what may make them uncomfortable. If you feel safe doing so, open up a dialogue with them about what they’d prefer to stay outside the room. Ask before using a diffuser, warn them if you plan on using candles or other open flames, and be considerate of imagery or items that they aren’t comfortable with. Keep in mind that when you’re living with someone, they have wants and needs too. If you want them to be open and considerate for you, allow them the same courtesy.
If you don’t want to, or for any reason feel you cannot talk about your practice with your roommate(s), then your best bet is to find another place to do your spells/rituals/readings/etc. If your dorm is not a safe space for your craft, then find somewhere that is safe.
Be aware of anything that might look suspicious, like ceremonial blades, herbs, or unpackaged teas. This sounds a little ridiculous, but my friend gave me a going-away gift of tea wrapped in plastic wrap, and I’m sure it doesn’t take much thinking to figure out what that looks like. Depending on rules about dorm searching at your school or on the openness of your roommates (as discussed above), these could get you in some trouble.
I hope these are helpful and inspiring to you!! If you have anything to add, please feel free to do so, because I’m always looking to learn from others. Be kind, be strong, be safe, and be happy! 💖✨🌸🥰

The Greeks really understood symbolism and aesthetic balance
Like man, one could argue the Greeks came up with symbolism and aesthetic, but maaan did they take it all the way. Even with minor myths, such as Persephone’s one. And before anyone @’s me, yes, Hades and Persephone ARE a minor myth, despite being so well known. Hades wasn’t exactly a fan favorite back then, and the obsession with Persephone is a fairly recent thing.
One of Demeter’s many epithets was “Ctonia” which roughly means “from the Earth”. The word may sound familiar to Chthonic, and that’s because they’re related! Chthonic means “from the Underworld”, so you start getting my drift. Hecate, Hades, Thanatos, and even Persephone herself are all Chthonic deities. And yes, Persephone might be the goddess of Spring, but knowing that her mother was the Ctonia, and that Persephone was always meant to have the Underworld in her blood, really gives off a nice sense of poetic balance within the story.
They couldn’t have chosen a better character to be Queen of the Underworld. She’s life, he’s death (he’s not the god of death, but presides over the dead). With her descent to her husband’s kingdom, earth comes to a halt. An eternal cycle of life decaying onto death, only to generate more life with it. The balance between such opposing forces. They need each other, they compliment each other.
I’m a simp for them all the more
