A little reminder to myself today how far I’ve come.
The girl on the left was overweight, yes. But she was also deeply sad, about 25k in debt, and lonely.
I was afraid to post any unedited picture of my face anywhere. I deleted any picture of my body. I wore lots of makeup every day and hoped that it would somehow give me worth. I went to a job I hated and then came home and tried to eat the feelings away with processed and frozen foods. I didn’t believe I was worth loving and was scared to try but at my core, all I wanted was to be loved and to love myself.
It is mind boggling to think how much can change in less than 5 years. I’ve lost over 90 pounds but on top of that I’m happier than I’ve ever been, safer and more loved than I’ve ever felt, working on saving up for a house down payment with the love of my life, and I truly feel seen for who I am and it doesn’t scare me. Most days I feel at peace with myself and my inner child is healing bit by bit.
I don’t edit any of photos, I’m proud of how strong my body looks, I wear makeup for me and to enhance features but I don’t feel like I need it, I changed jobs, and now I love to cook healthy foods and foods that make my body feel great. I cook to nurture myself and my partner and it feels like the deepest love language there is sometimes. I’m eating and it doesn’t hurt and I can stop and I can share that with you.
I’m so thankful for sticking with it. I feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life and on days when it feels like I’m still the girl on the left, I make posts like this to remind me of the woman I’ve become.
She’s strong, she’s light, she’s free, and she is so loved.

health tips to make your life better! ♡
make up your own mind — going along with everyone else is easier in the moment, but dangerous in the long run;
replace your phone as much as possible — if all your gadgets and needs are in your phone, of course you'll become dependent on it;
drink a glass of water after each time you pee — probably the easiest way to keep up your hydration without relying on apps or alarms;
consciously breathe — inhale for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds. i say seconds, but it can just be a slow count. do this whenever you feel anxious, fast or distracted, but also when you're at peace;
chew your food properly — you don't have to count, just don't swallow if you can still feel the food in its original texture;
walk everywhere you can — it is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your health (and save some money from uber);
quit snacking — if you're hungry between meals, you either need to eat better meals, or you're dehydrated. being in constant digestive process is harmful for your body;
write things down — give your notes app a rest and get a real notebook. it will change the way you think and feel about your thoughts and feelings;
turn off the news and tabloids — you don't need to know everything that's going on all over the world all the time;
be a part of nature, not an observer of it — plant something, touch grass, dance under the rain, say good morning to the sun and good evening to the moon, speak to animals and plants, visit the ocean, rivers and lakes, and believe deeply in the strength of the universe;

I Did Nothing But Walk, Stretch, and Juice for 72 Hours—This Is What Shifted

This wasn’t one of those "accidentally on a cleanse because life spiraled" moments. I chose this. Three days, no hardcore workouts, no caffeine highs, no stressy to-do lists disguised as “self-care.” Just walks, stretches, fresh juices, and a promise to slow the hell down.
Here’s what happened when I pressed pause on everything… and let my body lead:
Day 1: My Nervous System Was Like… “Girl, What?”
I won’t lie—my brain was screaming for its usual dopamine hits (hello, oat milk latte + inbox zero grind). But instead, I slipped on a matching set, made a green juice, and walked. Slowly. No podcast. No calls. Just me, the trees, and the subtle panic of not being productive.
That walk felt boring… until it didn’t. Somewhere around minute 26, I realized I was actually breathing. Fully. My shoulders dropped. My jaw unclenched. My thoughts softened.
Later, I did a 15-minute stretch with incense going. And suddenly, the quiet didn’t feel threatening. It felt sacred.
Day 2: My Bloat Ghosted Me
Okay, so walking + juicing = the kind of digestion I usually only get after acupuncture, a lymphatic massage, and divine intervention.
My go-to juice lineup:
Celery + cucumber + lemon + aloe: basically skincare in a glass
Beet + carrot + ginger: energy without the crash
Watermelon + mint + lime: bloat who?
I kept walking 2-3 times a day, 30 mins each, and followed every walk with deep stretches. I wasn’t chasing sweat—I was chasing flow. And I swear my stomach went from meh to model-off-duty in 36 hours.
Day 3: The Energy Shift Was Unreal
By day three, I woke up light. No fog, no puff, no urgency to rush through the day. My skin looked glassy. My thoughts weren’t racing. I was hydrated, clear, and kinda floaty—in the best way.
My energy wasn’t hyped, it was hum. Like a smooth, grounded frequency that had me organizing my space, cooking cute meals, texting people back (with love), and feeling really in my body.
What Shifted (Besides My Entire Vibe)
My cravings vanished. I wasn’t hungry for junk—I was hungry for movement, hydration, and peace.
I realized how much I was overexerting. For what? For who? The world didn’t fall apart while I rested. It got quieter. Better.
My body thanked me. Not with abs, but with ease. A whole different flex.
This wasn’t about weight loss or discipline. It was about clearing space—in my body, my mind, and my schedule. Sometimes, a reset isn’t about doing more. It’s about remembering who you are underneath the noise.

It’s time to stop fantasizing about the life you want and actually start building it.
Grab a cute planner—digital or paper, whatever works for you—and begin visualizing your dream life. That’s how it starts.
✨ And remember: you don’t have to do everything perfectly from day one. Becoming that girl takes time. It’s a process, not a race.
Step 1: Build your foundation
🥗 Nourish your body
You don’t need to completely change your diet overnight. Just start with small, sustainable changes:
• Drink more water and green tea
• Reduce processed sugar and saturated fats
• Listen to your body and feed it with care
🧘🏻‍♀️ Move your body
Working out is one of the most powerful mindset shifters. Yes, it’s hard at first—but it’s so worth it.
Start with short, gentle Pilates sessions. Here are some creators I love:
Nicola’s Pilates, Hinafit, Shirlyn Kim, and Celamarr — their videos are beginner-friendly and super motivating.
Aim for 20 minutes, 3 times a week. That’s more than enough to feel a difference.
🧖‍♀️ Skincare is self-care
You don’t need a 10-step routine. Start simple:
• Cleanse and moisturize twice a day

Step 2: Boost your hygiene & wellness

Be obsessed with your glow-up—not in a toxic, perfectionist way—but in a beautiful, empowering way that fuels you.

Emotional Intelligence isn’t knowing what to say, it’s knowing how to act
Everyone thinks emotional intelligence is about saying the right thing. It’s not. It’s about your behavior. "oh my gosh they are so emotionally intelligent! They said I could express how I feel!" Until they feel attacked, then you wish that you didn't express how you feel
When you stay calm instead of yelling. When you choose not to send that angry text. When you listen instead of screaming, not being defensive, acting like a victim in a problem you created etc. When you take a breath and think before you respond
In the age of information, where we have access to so much, anyone can seem calm and wise when everything is going well. But really, emotional intelligence shows up when you’re upset, hurt, frustrated & still choose to act with care and control. Knowledge comes with experience and action, not absorbing information & making those definitions part of your vocabulary
Emotional intelligence is not charm It’s self control It’s not about being articulate but being aware
You don’t need to say the perfect words. You just need to know how to handle your feelings in the moment. That’s what emotional maturity really is
Can you stay calm when triggered? Can you hold space instead of snapping back? Can you not send that text, even when you're angry? Can you pause, breathe & choose a better response?
This isn't about staying quiet at all, it's about your reaction. Cue healthy nervous system conversation and Robert Greene strategies here
Because anyone can sound wise in a calm room. The real test is how you act when things get emotional
