I will deactivate and eventually delete this art blog soon before the New Year or during next month, January 2022. Coz it's been months since my last visit here, I'm much more active on my main (@/kirakirasaku)... aaaaaand I couldn't keep up with managing two Tumblr accounts (RIP my smol brain cells hkjhsf) /g

As for my works here: I will transfer some, if not all, of my written and drawn works to my main; I'll rewrite and have my writings beta-read (I did it with "[08:38]" yesterday, scheduled to be posted later at night, PHT). As for the selfship art that I posted here, I'll compile them into one post with a lengthy (lol) caption and transfer it on main; likewise with my other art posts.

Kenma always love holding your hand every chance he gets. Be it when eating a meal, brushing your teeth, or even during his streams. Even during bathroom breaks. He really loves the softness and warmth of your hand on his own. Yeah, he’s that clingy lol

Kenma loves linking his pinky finger around your pinky finger for reasons you might go away from his sight. He’s a bit scared you’ll disappear one day so he makes it up a point to reach for them; you constantly tell him you won’t leave his side, which earns him lots of cuddles from you. And kisses, too.

a/n: for @tetsvhoe’s “Please Don’t Say You Love Me” collab—thanks for letting me join last-minute 😘 I was torn between doing the confession idea and a Kagehina doujinshi-inspired modern fantasy au (wherein cat!reader is being taken care of by Kenma etc etc) tbh. “Here, Kenma!” You shoved a pink stationery envelope into your best friend’s line of sight—practically blocking the POP’s screen, your hands slightly shaking, cheeks flushing. You couldn’t take a look at his expression so you looked down on your brown school loafers.

Kenma annoyingly paused the game he’s playing on his POP and took it from you. He examined the envelope quietly. “What’s this?”

“That? Um, i-it’s a love letter, silly!” you stuttered, bringing your palm to your face. “Don’t you know what a love letter is? Haven’t you got one before?” This guy…

“O-of course I know what a love letter is, Y/N, I’m not stupid,” Kenma stammered back in defense, his head held further down so as to hide his flustered face. “And it’s addressed… to me?” He turned to look at you for a moment before he spoke. “You... like me?”

You slowly nodded, removing your hand on your blushing face, your eyes looking back at his own golden ones. “I like you, I really like you! Ever since we were kids, I’ve always liked you—more than a friend! I don’t know why… but I’m excited to see you whenever I go to your house to play games with you; even when Tetsu-kun is around, it’s like… it’s like my heart’s bursting whenever I see or talk to you!”

You fiddled with the hem of your school blazer, gripping it a bit tightly. “I know it’s weird getting confessed to by your best friend,” you said, your words laced with nervous laughter. Kenma, on the other hand, just blinked at you, his golden eyes wide and searching for an answer. The tips of his partly-hidden ears as well as his round cheeks were still dusted with red, and his Adam’s apple kept on bobbing; he slowly processed what you’ve said minutes ago to mind.

Embarrassment soon went up to your face and you averted your eyes from looking at him, your throat suddenly drying up. “Well… I guess I’ve said it all, all the pent-up feelings I’ve been hiding inside me for years.” Kenma wanted to say something but you cut him off. “I-it's okay if you'll reject me. It's okay if you don't feel the same. It's fine if you reject my confession I… let’s just forget this conversation never existed, go back to normal, and… I have to go.” You slowly turned on your heels and started walking away, wishing a sinkhole just ate you up already to release you from your own embarrassment and misery.

You didn’t want to hear what he says, what he feels about you, and it’s better that way. It may look like unrequited feelings, a one-sided love… but at least you’ve told him how you feel, that you’re in love with Kenma, your best friend. Best friend.

“I love you!”

You stopped walking abruptly as you heard those three short words being yelled from behind by the same best friend you’ve confessed to minutes ago. You turned around to see him bent down and leaning on his knees, catching up his breath, the redness more evident on his determined face. His golden catlike eyes staring at your own, he opened his mouth to speak.

“L/N Y/N, I love you, ever since you and your family moved to that house next door to us. You saw me peeking through my window and waved at me, and that precious smile’s been deeply engraved into my heart until now. I love your smile, how your eyes twinkle whenever you listen to me talk about video games and volleyball and stuff, your sweet voice—everything! You made me realize how special I am to you, and you to me. I don’t like you… but I love you!” He huffed, his head bowed down. “You… it’s rude to walk away after confessing your love to someone without even listening to their re—“

Kenma was too occupied in his litany that he didn’t notice you sprinting towards him and hugging him tightly, interrupting his monologue. He then heard a faint sniffle and smiled, hugging you back and kissing the side of your head.

“Silly Kenma…”

Kenma + Ella: Lazy mornings ☕️

Lazy mornings with Kenma are quiet, serene... except the faint snores coming from either me or him while sleeping. Of course, being the big sleeper he is, Kenma doesn’t get up in bed—hates to get up in bed. At times, he hogs up the blanket to himself, leaving me shivering in the early morning cold. Tch. But he will bring himself closer to me, wrapping his arms around (and the occasional leg wrap), nuzzling his face on my hair, burying me into his warmth... and some morning kisses to my face, leaving me smiling shyly and snuggle more into my Kitten’s arms. Sometimes, when he gets up first—Kenma really looks like a kitty cat when getting up, stretching his arms and yawning like one—and I’m still sleepy, he’ll bring us breakfast in bed—mostly cereal and milk and coffee (he couldn’t bring to do pancakes or a sunny side up lol /j), and we watch the morning news or Netflix while eating—

Dedicated to my current Kenma anon and mod Pear—those recent asks + my wifey @atsuminthe’s selfship posts kinda inspired me to do this simple selfship moodboard of what a lazy morning with Kenma be like 🥰 thank you 😘

"Kitten, I'm home!" Kenma heard the sound of footsteps coming his way as he removed his shoes and slipped on his house slippers. He felt two arms hugging him from behind, as you nuzzled your face on his faux blond hair.

"Welcome home, Kitten~" you hugged him closer. "I missed you!"

He chuckled, turning to place a small peck on your cheek, smiling. "I missed you, too, my Y/N. But, hey, I've only gone for four hours though? And you say you missed me? How greedy~" He flicked your forehead lightly, to which you responded with an "Ow!".

You rubbed the spot on your forehead where Kenma hit you. "Why? Is it wrong for me to be greedy and miss you all of a sudden? What if some hot-looking colleague decided to whisk you away from me and never come back? I hate losing you, Kenma! You’re mine and mine alone, remember that," you pouted, your eyes suddenly became doe-like.

This made his heart swoon. How come you were so adorably cute? Even when in a worried but annoyed mood?

He cleared his throat and nodded at the small bag beside him. "One of my colleagues gave me a bag of apples they picked from their orchard back home. It would be such a waste to not accept them."

You peered inside the bag and your eyes twinkled. "Uwaa~ Red Delicious? Perfect! I can make cute apple bunnies out of these for us to snack on later, if you want."

Your boyfriend then caressed your cheek, you leaning on it and purring on impulse. He smiled softly.

"I would love to, kitten."

After cutting and making the washed apples into apple bunnies, you went inside Kenma's game room with the plate in hand.

You noticed he hasn't changed out of his polo dress shirt, 1-2 buttons unbuttoned revealing smooth fair skin, his sleeves rolled in an uneven way. He was scrolling something on his phone, his face deep in thought.

"Is there a problem at work, kitten?" You placed the plate on the coffee table before joining Kenma on the couch, snuggling up to his side. He wrapped one arm around your waist and pulled you closely, giving you a soft kiss on the forehead.

"Mhmm nah~ I'm just checking on some cool gaming equipment, might order one later.”

“Hmm…”

“What did you do today, aside from waiting for me earlier? Hm?” the puddinghead gamer asked, smiling smugly while taking a bite off an apple bunny, his golden eyes lingering at you lovingly.

You felt your cheeks heat up, not looking towards Kenma. You fiddled your fingers anxiously.

“Um, I… actually, I left the house a bit earlier, had a breath of fresh air and walked to a park nearby. Here!” You opened your phone to your photo gallery and scrolled up a bit before showing the screen to your boyfriend, smiling giddily, cheeks a bit flushed. “I took some pictures!”

“Eh? Flowers? I didn’t know there’s a flower garden hidden in the park…” Kenma swiped through the gallery until his thumb stopped at a candid picture of a family of three having a picnic in the grass. They look so happy here, he thought, remembering his own family and the times they went out when he was a child, and shot a knowingly glance at you before returning the phone back.

“Say… do you love kids?” His sudden question made you look surprised from your phone. You chuckled, leaning back from your sitting position.

“Yes! I love kids, I really do. They’re lovable and fun to be with, even if they act like brats sometimes!” You looked at him, your head tilting a bit sideways. “Why do you ask?”

Kenma shook his head, smiling with his eyes closed, and planted another kiss on your temple before resting his forehead on your shoulder. “Nothing.”

A few moments later, you heard him whisper something: “Do you want to start a family of your own? Have kids of your own? With me?”

Your eyes widened and felt your cheeks heated up, making you stutter. “W-what kind of question is that, kitten?”

“Marry me.” And he fished some maroon-colored velveteen box from his pants pocket and opened it, revealing a simple but beautiful engagement ring.

“We’ve been together for only 5 months, but for me it feels like an eternity when I’m with you. I don’t know how to explain it but… my heart’s beating like crazy just hearing your sweet voice. I turn into a puddling mess whenever you’re nearby. Your hugs, your kisses, the way you look at me… all of them, I love it all—I love you! I can’t imagine a bright and beautiful future without you, Y/N… I can’t live without you—“

Kenma continued with his monologue but when he looked at you, he was shocked to see your crying form, soft whines and sniffles filling up the room. He began to panic.

“Kitten? Y/N, what’s wrong… w-why are you crying?” Your boyfriend proceeded to wipe your tears away with his polo sleeve, peppering your face with kisses.

“N-nothing, don’t worry about it! I was a bit surprised at your on-the-spot marriage proposal and felt happy while hearing your reasons… a-and then, tears start to come out of nowhere,” you sniffled.

“You do?”

“Yes, I do, and I do!” You shoved your splayed hand in front of him, pouting. “Now, can you please put that goddamn ring into my finger or I’ll take back what I said in five… four—“

Welcome to “Ame no Ai (雨の愛/Rainy Love)”, kirakirasaku’s 300-follower milestone and 1st-year anniversary collab event! Why a double event? I just hit 300+ followers on the same day that I created my first (and previous) main blog @/doodleniella last year. Coincidence? IDK. Fate? Maybe~ So I organized this small collab event as my way of saying thank you for following, supporting, and interacting with me through thick and thin these past 12 months. Headpats and hugs and kisses for all~ 🥰🤟🏻

Also this collab event’s theme is inspired by what we Filos are experiencing at the moment, moderate to heavy rainstorms brought by two consecutive typhoons/tropical storms that hit our country these past few days (special thanks to @love-amihan for the idea 😘).

Open for everyone, writers and artists alike. No age limit—though I would like to advise minors participating in the event not to follow me (see Blog Rules).

The theme for this collab event is ‘rain’. All pieces should use/have said theme as plot device in their writings/artworks.

Writings and art are allowed, fluff, angst, and everything in between. Suggestive themes are okay (if NSFW, please inform me beforehand if you’re doing 18+ stuff/sm*t in your work) but tag them properly!

Fandoms include (but are not limited to): Haikyuu!!, Jujutsu Kaisen, Boku no Hero Academia, and Tokyo Revengers.

Send me an ask or DM specifying which character you’ll be writing/drawing for and for which reader (f!/m!/gn!) and I’ll add you to the collab event proper’s masterlist.
