I don't like clearsky either. Basically my grapple with graywing is how we are made to believe this is some wise guy who's always trying his best but when you look at his thoughts and actions in canon (specifically regarding the whole bumble thing) the guy is just straight up racist and embodies that whole clan cat attitude of "oh, we're just better this is our holy right", I also have a huge distaste for him given how dotc in general is an arc that's really misogynistic, and him being the protagonist means that that misogyny kinda bleeds through, this also happens with clearsky who kills random people (especially women) in cold blood and graywings always there to be like "no!!! Guys he's not that bad!!!" And like ok I totally get that he's family and dealing with the bad actions of someone you love can be hard but what I hate the most is how this arc moves heaven and earth to make sure clearsky is "redeemed" making graywing be right. There could be an interesting exploration of how you can't keep justifying your loved ones horrible actions no matter how much it might hurt because in the end you're hurting yourself. But no guys clearsky is actually good!!!!

Also a lot of my dislike for him also stems from the fact that most of the fandom really likes him for some reason, so I went into dotc believing this was THE BEST warriors protagonist. Disappointing

I tend to be very neutral on most characters cause, most of the times when engaging with warrior cats content i don't really think about the CANON CANON of the character but rather what the creator can make out of them, to me warrior cats are public domain and anyone's ocs, that's why to me it's kind of silly to get in heated arguments about characters, because even if you look at the true canon material their writings are very VERY inconsistent, there's very few characters i will truly defend until i die and very few i dislike so much i can't fathom positive interpretations of them (cough cough graywing)
